Hi! We're looking to move to the area and I'd love some local mom's advice on good schools. We'd be moving to the West Palm Beach area. Looking for both preschool and elementary. Would love suggestions for public, private, charter....not sure what the options are there. I know everyone has their opinion, but that's why I'm asking. We have the kids in a great Christian school where we live now and would love the transition to be good by finding a great school there. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

Hi S. B
I have lived in Jupiter for 6 years now and I have three children. One in high school now, one in elementary, and my youngest in preschool. They have all attended Jupiter Christian School and are doing wonderfully. Since your children are now in a Christian school, I feel inclined to tell you that not only have they had great schooling academically, but spiritually as well at this school. My 1st grade daughter has grown so much spiritually since starting at JCS 2 years ago. The school is well established but their new facilities are not even a year old and very upgraded. The family at JCS is so loving and close nit which definately comes in handy, especially in the later years.
They have a website: www.jupiterchristian.org.

Hi--I have a 14 year old daughter who attended Golden Grove Elementary and Western Pines Middle schools, next door to each other. She is a straight A student and now attending High school with honors. I would recommend both of these schools, they are located in the Acreage.

Good Luck!

I live in North Palm Beach and why I liked North Palm was that it's near everything but has a small town feel to it. It has it's growth spurt years ago so it's infrastructure was pretty well in place. For the most part the schools aren't as overcrowded as some palm beach county schools are.

I have had a couple of my kids at a charter school near my house and there's about 15-20 kids in their class. If I ever had an issue or a question, I felt I could approach the teachers and principal. For the most part I've been pretty satisfied.

I've also homeschooled a few of my kids. My oldest started public high school last year and has had a great transition. It seems to me that most of the high schools are on the up side at this time.

There are some nice homes in the area for sale so be sure to let me know if you decide on the North Palm area.

BTW, I have heard great things about Jupiter Christian as well.

I am not sure what part of WPB you are moving to, but we live out in Wellington and my son attends Wellington Christian School. It's a wonderful Pre K-3 through 12th grade school! We also attend church there. If you are interested, let me know and I can send you more information!
