I'm looking for a fun spot for my sons 3rd birthday. I know of the normal ones....Chucky Cheese, Fiddlestix, etc...does any know of any alternatives to game/pizza places? His birthday's in mid September, so it's still hot.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone! I did look into Makutu's island...but they only have a package for a large quantity of kids and it excludes adults. We only have 3 kids coming and 13 adults, so that didn't work. The phoenix zoo, however has a great package for $200. You get admission for 10 kids and 12 adults, cake and drinks, party favors and you can add on animal presentations and other neat things. They also give you a choice of indoor or outdoor.

I had my seven year old son's party at Paradise Mini Golf, it is a indoor mini golf place. It was really nice, I think it was on Bell and near the 10. My son's school was just handing out flyers for a place called Goodtimes Fun Center it is new, it says 15,000 sq. foot indoor fun center the website is www.goodtimesfuncenter.com but I have never been there.

What about Makuto's Island, Desert Breeze Park, or Kids Town? My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves all of those places and we have been to birthday parties at all of them too.

I took my sisters to a place called jump and play or something like that. It is a huge room full of the inflated toys. examples slides, the jump room and other things that they can play on. And my sisters really enjoyed it. You can rent the whole room and then they have a party room there also that you can use. But it is a little expensive to rent the whole place I think its like 200$.. or they have free jump days where you can pay 6 dollars a child and its open for 2 hours. So you can do that as well. You just have to call them and find out what days they have the free jump.

OK T., we have the same situation going on! My son will also be 3 in September (the 9th) and I have a 6 month old daughter. Although she should be 4 1/2 or 5 months but she came early. I am also planning my son's birthday. I came across this place http://www.jenniferspartypad.com/ I thought that would be a cool (literally, lol) option for a September bday. I have also gone to parties at BounceU and Rolly Pollies. What about Makutu's Island? Have you looked into those? We are actually just going to do our at home and I am trying to find an Elmo look-a-like since my son LOVES Elmo. If I come across any others I will let you know. Good luck!

Have you tried looking into Makuta's Island on Ray Rd and I-10 area?? I think they have a younger play area as well. All kids of all ages seem to love that place. I was able to take a tour when I called in regards to prices and dates. I set an appt to check it out.

Good luck!!

We had my son's 3rd birthday at a local park, but are considering having his 4th at an ice rink. Just a suggestion...at least its cool! Most of the rinks have PVC "walkers" that the little ones can use to brace themselves while they learn to skate.

Air Time is an indoor Inflatable place that is really fun. There's also Makutu's Island which is like a big indoor playground. There's also Amazing Jakes (huge pizza/game place) and Jeeper's. That's all I can think of at the moment.

We just went to a friend's son's b-day party at The Little Gym and it was so much fun. I'm not sure how much it was but I know that they weren't members of the place. And how great that they didn't have a ton of kids wrecking their house! The kids loved it. I know that Gymboree does the same kind of thing as well and you don't have to be a member. HTH!

Did you find a good place to have the party? Another good alternative is to have a theme party at a park. That way the kids can play and the adults can sit and talk and have fun too. Easy to plan... pick what ever the kids are into ( a pirate party, space party, circus party, ect the themes are endless) It can also be very inexpensive especially when the cost of establishments can be very pricey. Just order a couple pizzas, put some drinks in a cooler and pick up some cupcakes or even make your own cake. Kids love it and you will love the easy clean up!
