Looking for a New Stroller

Hello,
I am pregnant with my 3rd child and also have a 2 year old and a 4 year old. I have been looking for a new stroller but having a hard time deciding which would be the best stroller for our family. We had a Graco Duo Glide stroller when my second was a newborn and loved it for our 2 young kids. We had a side by side stroller last summer it was a good stroller except I didn't like how wide it was and it isn't possible to attatch a baby seat to it so it wouldn't fit our needs now. I am now debating about getting another front to back stroller or maybe a sit and stand stroller since my kids are older now. My only issue with the sit and stand stroller is there would be now way for my 2 year old to nap in his seat if he needed to. I am hoping some of you could share your comments about your experiences with different strollers and help me make the best decision.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your advice!

I have 4 kids and I have had MANY strollers. I bought my current sit/stand from onestepahead.com. It is a combo stoller with a baby seat attachment in the front and the back can be a traditional stroller seat and will be facing the baby at first (very cute for those first few months while the baby is still in a seat). When your 2 year old is a little older, the back seat converts to a bench or standing seat. It was the only sit/stand I could find that had that option. My daughter was only 18 months old when my baby was born and not old enough for a sit/stand so the back seat stayed like a traditional stroller seat until we just recently (at 2 1/2) converted it. It is large and heavy/bulky, but all of them seem to be. I also don't like the storage underneath. But the pros outweighed the cons for me. I think I payed $179 for it. Sorry if this is confusing....hard to explain in written form. Let me know if you need more info. Good luck!

Hi Brooke,
My son was 27 months when my second was born and we used the Sit and Stand (LX model, I think) stroller which worked great. It is very easy to push the two kids with the baby in the front instead of having all the weight further away from you. My two year old still took naps in the stroller when we had the seat in. We took the seat out (which is easy to do) when we knew he wouldn't need a nap and would probably be walking. It worked great for us. My favorite double stroller; however, is the Schwin Double Jogging Stroller. It is perfect for when they are able to sit up on their own. It fits through single doorways and through aisles at the store. Good Luck and Congrats!

I have the graco duo glider and love it. I have seriously been through 3 others (all tandem ones) and love this one the most. I wouldn't recommend a sit and stand if you will be using it for your 2yr old. They get tired too easy, that young, my 4yr old still rides in the stroller a lot.

Whatever you do, try out the new stroller in the store, with the kids in it. I have the Graco Sit and Stand and it is the WORST stroller I have ever tried to move. My husband hates it too. He's 6'1" and HATES to try to move it, because it is so darn heavy. Good luck. If I had to do it again, I'd look for something easy and light. :-)

Hi Brooke. Not sure what your budget it, but when we had our second (we have a third now), we bought a side by side Phil and Ted's double stroller. You can lay both sides down flat and even put a car seat in both sides. It is heavy and big. But it fits through doorways with ease. The tires are actual tires that you can blow up with air. The front tires are close together which makes it nice for jogging. The front tires can swivel or not depending on what you want. I recommend this stroller to everyone. We aren't into the mall at all, but I wouldn't say this is a "convenient" stroller. We took it to the zoo several times and it was great. It fits well into the back of our minivan and used to fit fine in the back of the Camry when we had it.
We usually take the stroller on walks to the park and around our neighborhood. But if you want a stroller for going someplace different everyday, I would not recommend it. So it really depends on your needs. It was also $500, so it depends on your budget too. We aren't rich by any means, but I will tell you that this stroller was worth every single penny!

I have the Baby Trend Sit and Stand. I think it's an XL or LX, but I'm not sure. It's a sit and stand and a reg. double stroller. The front is a normal seat that has a removable bar for an infant carrier. The back can be used like a normal sit and stand or it has a removable seat that makes it like a regular stroller.I can't find a website that really shows a good pic. but if you go to this link it will tell you more about the one that I have. For some reason it's not showing you what it looks like when you remove the back part. Good luck! I'm getting ready to sell mine because my 4yr. old would rather walk. I don't know where you live, but I live in Sierra Vista and come to Tucson sometimes. Let me know if you're interested.
