Hi. I'm new to this site and wondered if anyone could suggest a good female OB GYN in the Johnson County area. I'd prefer a female and "bedside manor" is VERY important to me! I need someone who I feel really cares and is very personable. As a site note: I'd also prefer a Dr. who does VBAC's, but it's not absolutely necessary. Thanks in advance for your help.

So What Happened?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my ad. I appreciate you taking the time out to help me! I am currently figuring out which Dr.'s are on my insurance and are taking new patients and will go from there!

Thanks again!

I have the best OB GYN and she does VBAC's...I tried with my second but she was breach just like my first so it was another c-section for me. Anyway, I've been going to her since I was 17 years old and I am now 33. Her name is Dr. Leah Rigway and she is at Women's Associates at Shawnee Mission Med. (Building in the parking lot as hospital). Hope that helps!

I go to Dr. Corrinna Cooper at Johnson County OB/GYN off 75th and I-35. All of the doctors and nurses there are wonderful! I never had any problems at all.

I would suggest the Women's Care group. They have multiple offices in the JOCO area (K7 & SM Pkwy, 75th & I-35, 127th & Metcalf). I just delivered my first child with them and used a Certified Nurse Midwife - they have 4 on staff and all are wonderful. If you would rather see an MD, Dr. Gaslightwala is wonderful - she has a great bedside manner - very personable...she's a young mother of 1.

Phaedra Lombard at Johnson County Women's Clinic is awesome! She's been my obgyn for about 8 years now and she is very personable. I love her and you will too!

The Womens Clinic of Johnson County is wonderful! They have 2 locations, one at Menorah Medical Center and also at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. I personally see Dr. Jessie Holmes, and could not be more pleased with her. You can browse their website and read the different bios for yourself though. Website is www.wcjcobgyn.com and their number is ###-###-####. Good Luck, B.
