Leg Hair on 2 1/2 Yr Old Girl

my twins are 3 1/2...and are little fur balls..i noticed the hair when i was bathing them around 2yrs, it looked like a coat when i poured water on them ..i freaked out and asked the doctor...just like you i thought it was something to do with hormones, since i have thyroid problems...he said to be worried if they start developing breast and dark hair around the chin, thats a hormonal problem...its normal some kids just have more than others....so hopefully my little girls hairy little bodies stay translucent...besides that..they say hairy people have good genes!!

My four year old's leg hair is so dark you can see it matted through her tights and it has been growing and getting darker since she was born. I don't think it has anything to do with additional hormones, I think it's just there or it isn't. Feel blessed that it's light in color!
I started shaving with an electric razor when I was SIX because I got made fun of so much for my thick dark leg hair.

Humans are mammals - we aren't supposed to be smooth and hairless!! A translucent soft coating of hair is totally normal. She has probably had leg hair all along, she's just got enough now for you to notice it. She most likely has the same hair on the small of her back and her arms as well.

My 3 year old has lots of hair on her legs, arms, neck everywhere. Dont worry your not alone. Her 10 year old half sister already had to start shaving so maybe it is normal.
