Hubby and I just got back from a couple of nice days in Vegas. Now we know there is a lot there our kids would enjoy also on a short visit. What's the best kid resort? We were looking at Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, and Treasure Island. Good/bad? A different, better place? Miscellaneous tips about taking the kids? BTW, our kids are boy-13, girl-10. May go back later this year or next.
Thanks!

What can I do next?

We usually stay at Mandalay Bay in a 2-bedroom suite. Go to circus circus for amusement rides, ride any attractions on top of hotels, hire someone to give us a personal tour of the dessert in a hummer, there is a cool ranch they take you too in Arizona where you see cowboys ride and a show, ride four wheelers in the desert, candy factory tour, attractions to view at the Luxor and other hotels around, and shows to see. Love the Treasure Island show. Visit the Hualaupe Indians (my spelling could be off)...etc. Overall we have a good time in vegas and do a lot of shopping at the Bellagio. Your kids will love it. I made a complete itinerary bought tickets and personal tours before we left; we usually spend a week there at christmas.

If money isnt a big problem, it is well worth the cost to have them see Cirque du soleil's show "KA". . Its at the MGM and if you havent seen it you are missing an amazing show. It has no words to follow but the set is so interesting and the music wonderful. You wont believe you are seeing what you are seeing. I cant even begin to discribe it. It will be the best thing they experience between video games and carnival stuff they can do in most any Chuck E.Cheese.

What about Circus Circus? Is that still there? They have/had free circus shows, games, etc in the hotel and a pretty good pool area. We haven't been there in a few years since our kids are 2 and 4.

I like to take my kids to Excalibur, since they have arcade games, carnival games, etc. Normally, I don't like to take them to these kinds of places, since we spend so much and they never get a chance to win any of the stuffed animals. But, if you happen to go in the afternoon sometimes, its less crowded and in your case both of your kids can compete in one of the games and you're bound to win a prize.
As for hotels....I've taken my kids to the Monte Carlo a couple of times sinces they have the Wave Pool, Lazy River Pool, Regular Pool and best of all the Kiddie Pool. My girls are 5 & 12. But, The Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino has a similar set up as far as pools go, but I've never been.
Another fun place to enjoy with the kids of course, is Circus Circus. They have the carnival games & rides.
Other places to take the kids? Paris Hotel and go up on the Eiffel Tower, New York, New York Hotel has the roller coaster that our kids may enjoy. Stratosphere has the two rides that you guys may be interested, depending on your level of comfort for heights. They have the roller coaster and one other ride that I definitely cannot handle. I am afraid of heights.
Anyways, I hope this helps! My family goes to Las Vegas at least once a year and sometimes even 2-3 times, depending on the year.
