Hi ladies. We just relocated from Chicago and are loving it! But with the move away from family and friends, I have found I need a little help. Do any of you have any recommendations for sitters (where to find one), a cleaning crew, and some good places for classes for a 2.5 yo and/or a 9mo. Thanks so much for your help! I would also welcome any other tidbits about the area!

What can I do next?

Hello and Welcome to the desert! Me and my husband moved here 2 years ago and our kids we 2 1/2 and 6 mo at the time! Very similar to your situation! My boys are in preschool near desert ridge.
We like going to Bounce U and Pump it up (which is in scottsdale) for the preschool playdaye open bounce session. Also, the zoo membership comes in handy a lot!
I'm from St Louis and my husband is from Palatine IL! We actually met at Southern Illinois University! Small world!

Not sure what part of the Valley you're in.... My kids love taking classes at Oasis Gymnastics.(NW Valley) They have classes for toddlers on up. The Parks & Rec classes and library programs, like someone else mentioned are a good place to start too. Isn't it great not shoveling snow ?

Hi M.! Welcome to AZ! I would suggest going to www.meetup.com. It's free to join and has all kinds of groups that get together for various things, including stay at home moms! You just put in your zip code and all the groups pop up or you can search something specific. It would be helpful to update your post with the area you are in. A wonderful cleaning company is Carnation at ###-###-####, I have used them many times. I'm also an insurance agent and know a lot of business owners you can trust so contact me directly if you need help finding anything else!

Welcome! There is a new place called, Recess, in Chandler and they are sitters, but they have games and lots of things to do. They are open late as well. There are many things to do out here. I don't know which city you are in, but each has a Parks and Rec. facility where you can enroll your children in fun classes: sports, art and educational. there are lots of parks: Tumbleweed is fun, Pecos Park, Freestone Park has a play area, a train and rides. you may want to join a local Moms Club so you can meet other Moms with children that age and they also provide playgroups that meet on a weekly basis. The Library shoud have a "storytime" that you can take the kids to"

Welcome! You can look for sitters online at Sittercity.com, care.com, enannysource.com... Craigslist can be a little shaky. OR you can go witha paid agency, A+ nannies, Nanny Exchange, etc. I have a cleaning Co I can recommend. Mari's cleaning Solutions ###-###-####. She uses primarily organic cleaning products. Check MeetUp.com for play groups and classes. Good Luck, C.
