Hi mommies. I just want to put the word out for MOPS programs throughout the valley. This is a nonprofit group. This a group for moms of infants through kindergarteners that meet several times a month in a local church. It is a fabulous place to meet other moms. Church membership is not required to attend MOPS. Daycare for your children is usually provided during MOPS time. There are great speakers and oppotunities to meet new moms that are in your same "place" in life. There is a religious component to MOPS but it is not about religion. It is about being a mom, the greatest job on earth! Call your local church and ask about MOPS or other moms groups they may have. Your church can be a great Mom resource.

Hey!
I go to a really little church with a handful of SAHMs but me and a friend have recently started organizing a little once a week play/support group. I don't think we're at a point where we'd want to become affiliated with MOPS yet (we're so little and have a variety of age groups) but I'd love to get ideas of the type of things you do.

Hi T.,
If your MOPS group is looking for speakers, that's what I do. I'm an author/illustrator/publisher in the Glendale area who writes about family activities and building self-esteem in children. To find out more about me, you can go to my website at: http://www.winmarkcom.com I've been talking to parents and doing workshops and presentations for students at schools for several years in the valley.
