Hello ladies,

I have been looking for groups in the area that are geared towards mothers with younger babies. So far all i have heard about are mothers with toddlers. If anyone knows about the type of group im looking for, or if you are a mother not involved in a group but are interested in meeting up sometime please let me know.

Thank you

Hi R., I am a SAHM with a 6mo old girl and a 4yr old boy. I belong to a christian based mothers group called MOPS (mops.org) We meet during the school year every other Thursday for fellowship at McEachern United Methodist Church (http://www.mceachernumc.org/). It is about $24 for a membership and nursery is provided. I can't begin to tell you of all the wonderful women I have met at this group. They have really made an amazing difference in my life, and I was a new SAHM when I started with my one little boy, and no family in the area. These women welcomed me in. We have speakers, crafts and food, sometimes its nice just to talk. Let me know if you are interested and I can get you more information.

Hey R.,
I live in Roswell and have older kids now but when they were little I stumbled onto an organization called MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Support) Club. It's a national organization but have local chapters, geographically based depending upon where you live. At one time I know Marietta had 4. It was, and still is, a life saver. I have met some of my dearest friends from that group. They offer everything from playgroups to mom's nights out.

You can checkout the national ____@____.com can enter in your zip code aned they will pass along your info to the chapter closest to you and a membership person or president will contact you to invite you to a function/meeting. Children are ALWAYS welcome.

I am in the Marietta area, and I have 3 month old daughter also. I would love to meet up for a playdate sometime if you were interested. I work part time from home, but I have my mornings and afternoons free for baby outings and activites:)

I am part of a group called MOPS. Even though it says preschoolers it is geared to moms of infants until they go to kindergarten. You are welcome to join our group. We meet at Cumberland Community Church in Smyrna. Our group has people from Smyrna all the way to Woodstock. Feel free to email me ____@____.com if you want more info.

Go to www.meetup.com and look for local mum's groups. These groups will often have age specific sub groups. I know Cobb Moms has groups for all different ages.
