Jeans for Tall, Skinny Boys

My 11 year old is tall and very thin. His legs are freakishly long and don't seem to stop growing.......like.. daily!!!! I just bought him jeans in a 14 slim 6 weeks ago. I watched him walk outside this morning, and they are almost capri-looking!!!! I will have to go to a 16, but I already know 16 slims are hard to come by. Does anyone know in which brand of jeans I can get a slimmer cut and not pay $60 per pair??! He's ok with having to wear a belt with every pair, but they are still large in the waist and the length part is killing me. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Buy adult jeans, because adult are taller they should run longer My son can fit in a 14-16 in kids and I believe wears a 29 in adults. He's 11 as well, and I think it's just that age.

Have you tried Lands' End? They sell kids pants in slim sizes and they tend to run long. Their customer service is top-notch, too, so if you called and told them the inseam you need, I'm sure they could tell you if their pants would be a good match. If you find Lands' End works out, get on their email list and you'll get lots of special offers. Also check out the overstocks section on their website for deals.

Have you ever tried Jcrews kid line, Crew Cuts? Their Jeans seem to be longer and slim fit. My son is also very tall and I find that those jeans tend to fit him best and is able to wear longer. There is a Crew Cuts at North Park mall. You can go and try them on to see if the fit is right. They usually will have a sale rack in the back and the jeans on sale will run around $29.99. If they don't have your size but he fit is right in the jeans that are not on sale, check online as they currently have a couple pair of jeans that are at the $29.99 sale price and may have your sons size.

Levis

My hubby and our 16 yr old have long legs. I buy them Levis. You can find waist sizes kinda small...like 27in and inseam of all sizes.

It is kinda hard and you have to really look at JcPenny's or Sears or you can just order them online.

My 16 yr old is in a 30X34...and still growing!

Have the same problem. I've found 16 slims (with an adjustable band inside the waist to boot!) at Old Navy! Also, JC Penney's carries slims in Levi's and other brands. Good luck!
