It is inappropriate and DANGEROUS for you to ask this question on this forum. Talk to the doctors that put in his trach.

If you don't go by their recommendations, you are not do right by your baby. We are a bunch of moms. NOT trach specialists.

What does the doctor say? That's your answer, even if it's not an answer you want to hear.

Instead of asking a bunch of mothers who have no medical training, it might make more sense to pose that question to the doctor who placed the tracheostomie.

What does your doctor say?
Follow your doctors advice and don't ask medical questions from strangers on the internet.

The person you should ask is your Dr.

We have no idea what your situation is and what you should do.

You need to ask your baby's doctor. He/she would have the answer.

Is there an alarm that will wake you up if something happens with his breathing? Would something change from what you are doing now if he was in a different room? Would you be able to live with the outcome if something bad happens and you weren't there in the room with him? Tough situation for your family to be in and no cut and dry answer on what to do.
