In Search for a Great OB Gyn for a High Risk Pregnancy (S. Tulsa)

I discovered I'm pregnant recently and at my age I need a good doctor for this pregnancy. I had problems with the billing dpt at the OB office I used to go so now that I have CIGNA, I need a reliable OB office that will process the insurance claims responsably.
I will have a C-delivery because of my last baby being born that way (he is 2 so the C is way too recent). I'll probably go for a tubes' cut procedure so any Catholic Hospital is out of my list.
I'm looking for recommendations of OB in S. Tulsa, Jenks area (a great OB working at either S.C. or Hill C hospitals )

Thank you!

So What Happened?

I was very interested in Dr. Robin Cox but her clinic doesn't take cigna for pregnancies. I called Dr. Aikman's office and they called me back. I have 2 app. schedule for July with Dr. Aikman! It is not that close to us but I can have the baby at Southcreast! All is in God's hands! Thank you so much for your replies! Hugs, R.

I had a baby last year at age 44. I used Dr. Robin Cox, who works out of Southcrest, and she was terrific. She was on top of things - ordered all the right tests - level 2 ultrasound, etc. She monitored everything closely, and we have a beautiful, healthy little girl.

I just delivered a baby girl this August 30th at Southcrest Hospial. My OB/GYN was Dr. Robin Cox. She was amazing. I had some problems with my pregnancy (gestational diabetes and high levels of amniotic fluid) so she watched me closely. My labor was amazing as well (it was vaginal). I recommend her.

Dr. Robert Aikman, he delivers at Southcrest, which shouldn't be too far from you. He has been an OB/gyn for somewhere around 45 years, a great Christian doctor, wonderful staff at his office. He delivered my last 2 babies and I wish I would've had him for my first. I can't say enough about him, one of my favorite people and my absolute favorite doctor. He knows what he is doing and unlike many doctors out there, he treats you like a person, not just a number. The phone number is ###-###-####.

Dr. Terry Zanovich is who I would reccommend. I had 4 miscarriages before I had my son, and he was great. I have a couple of friends that where high risk and he really helped them also. I am not sure if he is still doing deliveries/preganancies. Last I heard he was just doing gyn work. I think he is close to retirement age. It is definately worth a call though. He is with Tulsa Ob-gyn at St. John Hospital. I know you didn't want one at St. John's, but he really is the best in town. Maybe his office could recommend someone at the other hospitals for you.

I know you wanted to have your tubes cut, but last time I was in his office Dr. Z gave me info on a new procedure that is out patient and is done in his office where they insert something into the tubes to prevent the eggs from decending. I guess this is a new procedure and is much less invasive that having tubes cut or tied.

P.S. I believe Dr. Z is also the chief of staff for St. John Hospital.
Hope this helps.

I haven't used him personally, but have heard (from several women) great things about Dr. Aikman.
