Has anyone else experienced this? I wake up in the middle of the night with sweaty legs, but I'm freezing. Very strange.

What can I do next?

Sorry but your question made me smile :). I totally forgot about sweating in the middle of the night when I was pregnant. It kind of freaked me out when it happened because I was always cold during my pregnancies. Doctor said it was just one of the "side effects" so I didn't worry about it too much. I started sleeping with one leg out of the covers and this seemed to help. Switch legs in the middle of the night so the one doesn't get too cold and the other doesn't get too hot. I do remember that the night sweats didn't seem to occur till towards the end of my pregnancy so you may want to double check with your doctor at your next visit. Write down some of the stranger stuff that happens because as weird and uncomfortable as it is now, you will forget all about it later...Until someone writes in with a question and then you remember...and smile

I used to wake up drenched while I was pregnant. I think it was the shift in hormones. I still did it for a while after I had the baby but it is starting to get better. You may just want to ask your doctor about it especially if you have any enlarged lymph nodes.

Awe....I remember this!!! I used to wake up sweating too...it was more my neck...Odd I know.... but sleeping with a fan on me did help and by a fan i me i mean one of those box fans just aimed at my head...and still 2.5 years later sometimes this will happen to me now. Usually the day or two before I get my period. Before being pregnant I never woke up drenched in sweat like that...but I was told it is normal....uggg....its so annoying I know but like everything this two shall pass.... :o)

I'm 31 weeks pregnant and I used to wake up drenched even on nights where my husband was freezing cold! Lately it hasn't been so bad. What i would do though is just use the sheet to cover myself because I was cold. A shower before bed, and then when I wake up would help occasionally. Try to wear as little as possible to sleep, if it gets too bad then you might want to talk to your doctor.
