Does anyone know where i can buy a Petite stretch pant in a short?
Does that make sense?

I need a Petite Short for slacks. I can find Petite's, but I always have to take them somewhere to get them hemmed because i am so short. I bought a pair of black stretch pants for business casual wear and they were a petite short, fit perfect! I went back to the same store, and tried on a petite Large, and they were too long.
I am just tired of buying slacks and then taking them somewhere to get hemmed. So i need a Petite Short. I have tried looking at Kohls' but no luck. Please help!

What can I do next?

I always have luck in the petite section at Kohl's for pants. If you want a little higher end brands I have been having amazing luck at Marshall lately with petite lengths. Someone gave me this great tip about Marshalls. Only look at the racks that are around the edge of the departments that is all their new and current items. Don't waste your time in the racks that's the older merchandise.Make a quick stop to look at the perimeter of the store. As someone who has always struggle with length I have always turn to getting things hemmed. I know it's a pain but at least you get your choice of the item you actually want. I also have turned to finding a brand I like and ordering online. Hope this helps!

If you know the brand and style of the one you already bought and liked, you may want to check www.amazon.com . I've had lots of luck there for specific bras, etc.

Go back to the store where you made your find and speak with the store manager. Really play up how much you love their store and are looking forward to shopping there. Even if they don't have it at that time they may be able to call another store or get it in for you.

I have the same problem. I always have to cut about three inches off my pants and hem them, no matter where I shop. The only advice I might have would be to try Lands' End pants where you can have them specifically hemmed at whatever length you need.
I've just become very adept at hemming, though it would be nice to just buy pants off the rack and be able to wear them right away. As my aunt reminds me, it's a lot easier to take off a few inches rather than try to put them on!

Try Land's End and LL Bean. I believe both carry what you are looking for and even though you have to do mail order, I think they both have free returns.

Try Old Navy. They sell a lot of things in "short." Good luck.

Gap
New York and Company
Kohls Croft and Barrow brand (I just bought some last month)
Are some of the places I find Petite short.

Also, try the major department stores in your area. You may pay a little more, but since you will not have the hemming expense it works out to be about the same.

Ask the sales clerks - I've found they can usually point me in the right direction.

It does get to be expensive to have things hemmed. And I can't wear 5 inch heels to make the pants the right length. LOL

Happy Shopping.
