DARN!! I think it's going to snow today!!! On top of everything else - it FEELS like snow here in DC. Here in NOVA - it is 45 degrees. we were supposed to hit 58 today...cloudy and gray!!!

The last thing we need here after trying to clean up after the Hurricane (Although I will admit we were NOT as hard his as those in NJ or NY)...

So what's the weather like in your neck of the woods??? Do your weathermen/women get it wrong often???

I know I want to be a weatherman!! I can be wrong, like almost daily, and still keep my job!!! :)

It is my hope that people are safe and no serious damage or loss after this storm. I know that there are those that have suffered!!!

What can I do next?

It is 28, overcast and 80% humidity right now. At least we didn't have snow for trick-or-treating, although we had some freezing drizzle. I made the kids wear winter jackets last night and today. They weren't happy about that.

It's going to be 86 here today, hotter tomorrow. The weather changes here hourly many days. (Literally.) I don't know how weathermen could even be accurate here, but they do a fairly good job.

I don't like watching the footage of the damage, because it's just so sad. I have never been in a major natural disaster, so I can't even wrap my head around it.

Cold. We already had snow this week. Thanks for reminding me. It's time to put on the snow tires. And all of you down in SoCal, stop gloating, it's making me feel even colder.

At least we haven't had any hurricanes up this way. Good luck to all of you cleaning up.

In Dallas it's supposed to be about 80 and sunny and appears to be heading that way.

The damage on the East coast looks awful...not even sure where they start cleaning up in NY and NJ....

Bug....
I hate you. Did you really have to rub it in?

I'm joking, of course, only because I hate cold weather and that's pretty much all we get. For heaven's sake, people run around half naked if it actually hits 70 in the SUMMER. Not me...it can be 80 and I still have long sleeves and a sweater or two on.

Where I live, you can't trust weathermen or weatherwomen. They say it will rain, it doesn't. They say it will be sunny, it rains.

You can't believe anything you hear. For instance, California isn't all sunshine and orange groves.

When my son graduates from high school in June, my goal is to move to a warmer climate.

My heart is with all of those who are devastated by Sandy and all other manners of floods, blizzards, etc.

Best wishes to everyone.

I feel bad for all the people & their losses. The weather her is close to 85. Yesterday was beautiful at 80. We have had a few hurricanes here & had damage. But, not with snow. We moved from northern Indiana one winter when our house was buried under the snow. We had to dig from the inside out. We moved to Florida ASAP. Usually our weather people get it "close".

It is 48 here in Indianapolis but the sun is out. Yahhh!!! We froze trick or treating last night but we survived. I don't think you will get snow in 58 degree weather. I hope for clear skys and sun for your region. Take care.

Its delightful here. High 72 to 75, Low 55-60 and partly cloudy. According to my weather meter 39% humidity.

The blackberries are ripe again as are the raspberries and I'm thinking of making a cobbler out of the ones in my garden, or mabe home made ice cream.

Prime BBQ weather.

Good luck to you and yours.

It's getting close - your area should be down to 36 tonight.
A dusting of snow can be pretty (so can freezing rain) - but ice storms are just miserable for messing with the power.
We'll be near 41 tonight (proximity of the ocean usually keeps us a bit on the warm side in the fall) and we're at 57 now.
When we lived in Northern Va, we were so use to hearing about what was happening weather wise right where we were.
When we moved, we discovered that we hear about weather EVERYWHERE ELSE all across the country before we find out about our own local weather.
Even if you check out the NOAA site for our zip code, 'Current conditions' more often than not will have a tiny note next to it "Not a current observation".

on my way home from work (in Reston) today about an hour ago, my car said it was 55 outside, but it sure felt a lot colder! I even wore my heavy jacket today. I can't wait for snow! I really hope we get a real winter this year instead of the warm winter we had last year

Still raining here in Western PA...no surprise.
And we DID have a few flurries yesterday...nothing much.
Pittsburgh is known as the Weatherman's Graveyard because the mountains and the rivers make it about impossible for them to be accurate.
