Hi!

I never break out but I do get a pimple every now and then. I have a big one on my chin :( !! I am going on vacation & will be seeing my boyfriend tomorrow night. Anyone have any idea how to get rid of a pimple in 36 hours? Please?!

Someone told me to put toothpaste on it overnight....??? Has anyone ever tried that?

Yep - toothpaste has always worked for me. It doesn't "get rid of it" necessarily, but seems to "draw out" the yuck inside faster and thereby speeding up the process. Paste, no gel.

I also am a fan of salicylic acid treatment. Neutrogena has a GREAT line. Try the scrub, then topical gel. It works, and fast.

Good luck!

I always use toothpaste. By morning ,the pimple is completely dried out. But, then I have to really rub in some lotion on that spot for a few days, because the toothpaste dries out the skin on that spot. It's worth it!

I have tried the toothpaste and it does seem to lessen the inflammation--but it has to be the paste kind--not gel. Couldn't hurt to try it overnight, right?

Hi L.,

High grade tea tree oil will cure i overnight. Saturate a q tip and hold it on it for a minute or two. The tea tree oil will absorb deep into the tissue to heal from the inside out. I guarantee you if the tea tree oil is good, you will taste it coming through your chin into your mouth!

Hope this helps!

Most of the time they just have to run their course. Just don't mess with it too much. Visine will help reduce redness. Just put wet a q-tip with maximum strength visine and wipe on a few times a day.

Do you have an exfoliant or mask? Put it on your chin overnight.
I use Mary Kay so I put the mask on and in the morning wash real well.

- Toothpaste does work (reduces the redness and swelling)
- Warm washcloth for a minute and then USING QTIPS gently squeeze the "yuck" out of it (don't use your fingers)
- drugstore "facial masks" actually do work too

If you can't "pop" it (you know those ones that stick around forever), then wash/dry/moisturize and use a dab-on concealer that is designed to hide blemishes. They have a green undertone that balances out the red.

I've heard that PLAIN Crest toothpaste - nothing fancy - works...

Alcohol dries it out...

I guess you got the yucky part out already, if so, definitely put cortisone cream to get the swelling out. If it's red and painful and can't be squeezed (not ready), toothpaste will "ripe" it overnight OR will deflate it, depending on the stage of the pimple. Good luck...I hate pimples to death.

The only 100% surefire way to get rid of it quickly is to go to a dermatologist and get a cortisone shot. Totally worth it!

Take some grinded nutmeg and add a little raw milk to it. Apply the mixture and leave it for about one or two hours. This natural home remedy is not only beneficial in curing Pimples but is useful in getting rid of their scars as well.

Put an ice pack on it for a while to reduce swelling. And, yes, toothpaste works.

im currently using a bottle of vitamin e oil as a nighttime moisturizer. its ridiculously cheap and working better than all the expensive stuff i've tried. i use that ll over. it has gotten rid of all my blackheads and calmed all the redness and any swelling. i still get little whiteheads and i put salycilic acid moisturizer all over in the daytime and toothpaste on them at night.

If it has a white head on it, you can easily squeeze it. Sterilize a needle, wipe the spot with alcohol, lightly poke it, and squeeze.

If it's just red and inflamed, don't squeeze.

make sure you use plain white toothpaste. after it is dried out, use an ice cube to reduce swelling and help with the redness.
