How Long Before Wedding Ring Fit Post Pregnancy?

My daughter is now 3.5 months old and I'm finding that my wedding ring still won't fit over my knuckle. Have other mom's experienced this? How long did it take before you could wear them? Did your knuckle stay larger requiring a resizing of your wedding ring? I don't want to prematurely take them to the jeweler, but I'm very anxious to get my rings back on! Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Each woman is different.. .per weight gain/loss before and after pregnancy. Also, yes, the knuckle swells/grows. That happened to me. But my Hubby got me a new ring about 1 year later!
My knuckles never went back to its normal size... nor my feet. After my first pregnancy, my feet grew. Then with my 2nd pregnancy... it grew a tad more. Both my fingers nor feet ever went back to its "original" pre-pregnancy size.
But that is just me and my case.

All the best,
Susan

I just had my ring re-sized after waiting 11 months. Although I had lost all the pregnancy weight my finger was still too big. I had to go up a full ring size. My jeweler told me that this is pretty normal and that women typically have to go up one full ring size after pregnancy. In fact he told me everyones knuckles get bigger as we age! Yikes! :)

Well,
I finally gave in when my second one was 5 (YEARS that is!), and had that ring resized.

It depends on how quickly you get back to your pre-pregnancy weight, but you shouldn't have to have your rings resized. Other things like your waist size, thanks to shifting hip bones, and perhaps your feet, thanks to the pressure of carrying pregnancy weight, may have permanently changed, but not your knuckles.

My son is now 9 months old and my wedding ring still doesn't fit either do most of my shoes! I just got a fake one to wear. I paid 9 bucks for it at a little shop, it looks great and has held up awesome. I'm still waiting it out, I mean come on, I know our bodies change but I just can't believe my FINGERS will stay larger too! Crazy huh, your not alone
