How Did You Learn About Mamapedia? (JFF)

My cousin sent me an invitation on facebook almost a year ago, I don't know how she found it. Funny thing is I use it almost daily, and she is rarely ever on! If it weren't for her I would have probably never found it. I also don't know how I lived witthout it the past 4 years.

How did you come about joining?

What can I do next?

I have been here since 2006.

I stumbled upon it...Had no clue what I was getting myself into!

I have only taken a few break due to the fact we went without internet.

What I laugh out loud about is the fact that I keep coming back.

You lady's are my weak spot..sometimes It is annoying...but at the end of the day....I am so glad that I have had the chance to meet and get to know so many amazing women....and men!

I friend tipped me off when my son was born over four years ago. Back when it was Mamasource.

I consider her my "dealer" because I'm an ADDICT now! LOVE this site!

Back in the beginning of 2006, I was looking for information on single parent adoptions, and stumbled across Mamasource (which is what is now Mamapedia)... 'back then', you could only post 2 questions per day! ;)

Fun question! :)

I found a link to it a little over 4 1/2 years ago when it was mamasource while looking for a question on my pregnancy. Didn't find the answer I was looking for... found this site... asked my question and it was answered and I have been coming back ever since.

Sometimes I will take a "leave" for awhile if the questions are becoming to repetitive or the lady's are getting too snotty.... give it a few months break, come back and it seems better. lol

I found it as a link on another website I was on. This was in 2008. Who knows what that was, probably Babycenter woudl be my guess. I clicked on it and was intrigued, at first I didn’t get on a whole lot, but now im obsessed. I typically do short answers because im at work but I am on all the time, sometimes too much also ;-)
You get to feel like you know a lot of the people on here.

When I got started it was called Mamasource also and only 2 questions a day??? I dont rememebr that, but then id have to have many AKA's LOL

I used to do phone work at home and a supervisor sent me a link. I don't think she has ever been on but I have ever since. This was way back when it was mamasource. I remember there only used to be a handful of posts a day because it was local. Now, there are pages and pages of new posts everyday, so it takes up much more of my time now, and is never boring!

A very dear friend invited me via the "tree" route (mentioned by Dawn below) -- I was living in Shanghai at the time (2007?), had lots of time to surf the web, the part they are allowed to see. Anyway, I passed on an invite to another friend whose son is autistic. I really have learned a lot & have gotten lots of help/support "out here"
