we are trying to get pregnant. The last few days I have felt like my period was going to start, not really late as of yet, but I went ahead and took a test today. It showed positive. I have never had a positive test in the last few months, so, just wondering if it could be? i have had kinda sore to the touch nipples and some cramping in the last couple days as well. Any advice would be great!
YAY!! I took another test this am and it said YES!!!! OMG! I can't not believe it!!!!!! We are so excited and my hubby just kept smiling at me! I am so happy! I made an appt with a new dr for monday and we aren't telling any friends or family till next week. Question though, I am going to have sushi tomorrow, should I just eat very little or order something different? Any one ate any while pregnant and did you have any issues?? I have read that in small amounts its okay
I tested positive a few days before my period way due. False positives are not common. Get another tomorrow and test again. You're probably pregnant...fingers crossed for you!!
Likely, YES! Yay! Congratulations. Sore nipples are an extremely common first sign of pregnancy. Cramping too...but, like one responder already said, a false positive pregnancy test is rare. A false negative is much more common.

It is very rare to get a false positive. They say that the best time to take a test is in the morning right away because it's supposed to be the most accurate. I'd say you are pregnant though, take another test just to confirm. Congrats!

Thats exactly what happened to me when we were trying for number two!
Felt like I was going to start my period but instead my nipples kept getting more and more sore. So I took a test, that came up positive so I took another one the next morning (since your morning pee is the best indicator) and it too came up positive as well.
I would say take another test in the morning & if that one comes up positive make a doctors appointment.

I have only taken 2 pregnancy tests in my life and both have been accurate. The symptoms you are describing sound consistent with what I had experienced at the time I was taking the tests.

I have asked a pharmacist before and false positives are VERY VERY rare. Congratulations Mama!
Congratulations! I am due the end of August, so I understand your excitement! (We had been trying for number 2 for almost a year.) Good luck at your doctor appointment...I don't go to mine until mid-February. I want my son to be able to be there, and honestly, if he goes at 8 weeks, there is no way he will be able to stay quiet until 12! :)
