Hi fellow moms and soon to be moms. I am helping my mom plan a baby shower for my sister. We would like to have it January 31 at a hall or resturaunt or country club. My sister is from Dundee/Schaumburg area and we are here in Yorkvill/Naperville area. Has anyone found any places recently for around 10-$15/ person a plate? We are looking to have about 30-35 people but do not want to spend
more than like $700 dollars total with gratuity and tax. WE also have already looked into catering and renting tables and that is even more expensive and a lot more work on our part. Thanks for your help!!!

Jennifer was right about the courtyard west place. however they also own 2 other facilities you can talk to George about. They own Gaslite manor in aurora on church road and they also own the lincoln inn in batavia. We have several functions a year thru them I cam currently chairing the catholic women of the year event thru them and he is wiling to work with you to make sure your event is exactly what you need.

Here is a Great banquet hall that serves Brunch on Sunday. I have seen Beautiful baby showers there when we have gone for breakfast. $10.oo a person kids are cheaper. Great variety of food, and a chef to make omlets and waffels. Try it out on a Sunday morning with your family, My husband & kids love it (...there are also little desserts and tarts...perfect for a party.)

Casa Royale Banquets in Des Plaines....had our wedding reception there, but also just had my sister in law's bridal shower there...great food, staff, etc. They are really ready to work with you with what you want/need!
Try St. Pat's church in Yorkville or you could also ask a local restaurant. Since economy is slow they may be willing to work with you on something. We used a restaurant in Plano that had privacy rooms in the back for a surprise party and it was wonderful.. sometimes they give you 1-2 entree selections for the guest to choose from.
