The Tudor House in Santa Monica is great if you want a proper English tea party. They have a private room and two different set menu's as well as the ability to pick and choose items. They also serve champagne for those who want to indulge. They pretty much do everything for you and all you have to do is show up!

Duke's in Pacific Palisades/Malibu has a private room where I've seen showers...IT's on the water, so nice.

Or, maybe they can choose one of the beautiful Beverly Hills area hotels and make it for tea, tea sandwiches, etc.

Cafe del Rey has a private room (The Regatta) which accommodates 40 people. It is right on the Marina with large, beautiful windows. They have a jazz trio playing on the weekends, which adds to the ambiance. The brunch menu is varied also.

Good luck.

Hi J., I have given two showers at El Cholo on 11th and Wilshire in Santa Monica. The prices were reasonable, the food delicious, and the wait staff was attentive. They hold the showers upstairs, so it's private. They use red cloth tablecloths and white fabric napkins. I brought brightly colored or white flowers, which gave the room a festive atmosphere. The Brentwood General Store at the Country Store had a nice selection of hostess gifts and shower favors, and they wrapped beautifully.

Hi J.
We did a lovely shower at Chez Mimi in Brentwood on 26th street. Check it out. It's pretty and was somewhat reasonable. We had a room in the back that accomodated more than 30 and the location was so pretty. How exciting for you.

We have had several parties/showers at the C and O Cucina on Washington just west of Lincoln. They serve huge portions and if you have your event on a Sunday afternoon you can use the bar/lounge portion of the resturant at no additional fee. They do also have a private party area upstairs but they charge for that. The food is amazing and the decor nice. We've brought in our own centerpieces and cake.
Have Fun.

I'd recommend Cafe Bizou in Santa Monica. It's reasonably priced and whenever I've gone people have enjoyed the food. It definitely can accommodate a large number of people for lunch/brunch.

Hi J.:

Try the Tudor House in Santa Monica! I love that place! They have a seperate room for events like that!

go to www.thetudorhouse.com and email Theresa or Sandra to have them help you. They also have a phone # on the website!

You will be VERY happy! They do all sorts of items and have a beautiful display of food.

My suggestion is the Carrot Ginger Soup (OMG), finger sandwiches, fresh fruit salad and/or their Kennsington Salad and an assortment of desserts! They also serve coffee and tea and sodas.

You won't be disappointed!

Best,
L. B
