So What Happened?

First of all i would like to thank you ladies for your advise, but it did clear up before i got a chance to use any of them, i worked a double that day and it was gone the next day. i'm almost sure it was just pollen in my eye, but i also ended up getting poison oak that same day all over my arms and legs, just an fyi the anti-itch lotions and creams did nothing , so i tried rubbing alcohol 2x a day and i felt imediate relife and it looked 50% better the next day, no burning, a little tingly though , but it worked.

There are lots of eye drops and such over the counter for eye allergies. Zyrtec just came out with a new one. My sons grandmother always has eye issues during allergy season and she now lives by such drops. These will help clear up the eyes more quickly.
Due to where the nasal cavity is, you can also try a nasal spray to help clear them up. I'm not sure if it will have a big effect on them or not but I do know when I use a nasal spray, my eyes burn slightly just after as if the medicine is doing something to them. :-/

I know that tea bags (used) on the eye lids are supposed to help with swelling, but I don't know if it matters what kind of tea. I'm thinking it does, but I can't remember which kind is best. Maybe you could google it?
Good luck - and if you don't find something that works, maybe you can just explain it to your customers and they'll feel sorry for you and leave you bigger tips! :)

Oooh, oooh, oooh, Mr. Kotter! Mr. Kotter! I know the answer! :)

I googled it, 'cause I was curious for myself....... I am trying a cut and paste, hopefully it will work. (I hope you've got some tea on hand!)

Instructions
1. Step 1
Save used tea bags whenever you make black or chamomile tea. Store them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator, and discard them after 2 days. Black tea contains tannin and caffeine, which constricts your blood vessels and encourages extra liquids to flush out of your skin. Chamomile has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce puffy eyes.
2. Step 2
Remove the tea bags from the refrigerator when you have puffy eyes. Squeeze them slightly to remove excess liquid.
3. Step 3
Recline in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Place one cold tea bag over each eye. You can cover the tea bags with a damp, cool cloth to further increase your relaxation. The chill from the tea bags helps reduce puffiness.
4. Step 4
Breathe deeply as you recline. Your puffy eyes can be caused in part by poor lymph flow, which is improved by deep breathing and regular exercise. Breathing deeply can only improve your puffy eyes, and it also relaxes you and prepares you for your day.
5. Step 5
Leave the tea bags on your eyes for 5 to 20 minutes. The longer you keep them on your eyes, the more effective they can be.

The best advice I ever received was to wash my eyes with baby shampoo, closed, of course. Some people even put some on a cotton swab and do the rims of their eyes. You can also put it on your index finger and then rub under your nose then wash your face. The pollen spores are like little spiked balls. The baby shampoo cleans them out gently. Good luck!
