Clean is clean. Stains are stains.
If clorox hasn't removed the stains, likely nothing will.
But that doesn't mean the floor isn't clean.

You may want to contact the landlord and see if he is willing to have a professional clean it. Also, Clorox will degrade the grout. Depending on the type of tile it may need a deep cleaning and to be resealed and the grout probably most definitely does. If you've cleaned it a lot, you are probably seeing stains as other people have pointed out At this point you will may just need to live with the look (Argh I know!) if the landlord isn't going to help as it can be a big and costly job to take on yourself.

Better to live with stained grout than have clorox fumes. Bad for you and the baby in my opinion.

You could dry scrubbing with an enzyme.

Like others have said it might be stained. I like the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for stuff like that. Worth a try. =)

Actually a certain amount of germs will help the baby's immune system. If they are never exposed to anything but absolute cleanliness their bodies will not be able to fight off anything.
Relax, your house is clean enough.

If you have cleaned the floor it is clean. It doesn't matter if it's stained or just dirty looking. If it has been washed it's clean. Soap works. You have used bleach, bleach kills germs. The floor is clean after being mopped.

My thoughts are the carpet and other flooring is much dirtier than a tile floor that has had bleach used on it.

Kids need dirt and germs to build healthy immune systems. If the floor is regularly mopped then it's okay for the baby to be on it.

Vinegar is good for grout and will clean it. That's what I use and it works. Make sure once the grout is cleaned to seal it. I would ask the landlord first to save you money. Or see if he will split the cost if you have someone come out like Stanley Steamer or some other company.

"Mrs Meyer's Clean Day". VERY safe around kids and pets. We first purchased it because it was "green" and safe. BUT- we found out it is also the very best cleaner we've had! It cleans everything- Even stains that were there after I had used other cleaners. It also has a very nice unique scent.

If its ceramic tile it just may look dirty because it scratches and stains. Bleach and a tooth brush work great on grout.

I was going to suggest a steam mop also, however you may need to contact a professional. Carpet cleaning companies will also do tile. Just check around.

Just because it looks dirty doesn't mean it is. It could be stained or lightly scraped which appears to be dirty.

We don't use chemicals in our house. We don't feel that's safe for our little ones.......

Have you tried vinegar and baking soda in a pail of hot water with a couple drops of peppermint oil???

Our favorite product is the Thieves cleaner from Young Living. I just pour a little in my pail and scrub on my hands and knees. Cleans well AND smells great AND IT"S SAFE!

It could be that the tiles are an off-white color... then no matter how much you clean them, they aren't going to get any whiter. If that's not the case, you might try dusting comet on the wet floor, and scrubbing it with a brush... let it sit then mop it up. You will want to rinse it a LOT though, because comet is pretty harsh and you don't want your 12 month old in it...

Well, I think you are doing a good job with keeping the floor clean, the problem is it's probably just stained. You may want to try out a steam mop, so that the floor can be disinfected without using a lot of chemicals.
