Hi mommies! Well I was wondering what, if any, hair changes you had after having your first baby? My mother's hair went from kinda wavy to realllly thick and CURLY when I was born. My grandmother's said her hair got a bit curlier after my mom was born, and she thinks my hair will do the same as my mom's because my hair is the same as hers was before she had me....

After I had my first child, my hair became thicker and still is after 2 more kids. It was very fine up until I had the kids.

My hair was a dark honey-blonde with a nice wave. After my daughter was born my hair became straight as a string and turned really dark brown and continued to darken for many years (like 24!) until my daughter had her son ~ then the sparkly silver set in (no, it's not gray but it sparkles!) Her hair was actually black with soft wispy curls as a child. After her son was born it got much, much curlier!!

My hair thinned a lot but after 4-5 months grew back, wavy instead of stick straight.

I have very thick, crazy hair. After the birth of our second child, it thinned out a lot. I used to have to pay money to have my thick hair thinned out and now it was out of control. I was shedding worse than a dog! Ended up having to go with a new hairstyle to work with the hair loss.

About a year later, I was fine and back to my very thick, crazy full hair again.

Same here. I had a nice wave to my hair prior to children. After 3 kids I have a head of curly hair.

About three months after my first son was born, my hair thinned out a lot. I spoke to my stylist about this and she said it is really common for women to lose/thin their hair about 3-5 months post.
I had my second son this past January. My hair has always been curly, and I have usually straightened it. After he was born, I have lost my curls for some reason. I used to have to blow dry my hair out, then use a flat iron on it. Now I can just blow it out and be done. It is really weird, but it happened right after I had the baby so I have no idea what else could have caused it. I am not complaining as it eliminated one step of my morning routine, but it is funny how things happen like that.

My hair was thick and almost board straight but with just a hint of natural wave. I have 3 kids now and with each it has gotten progressively wavier with each kid to the extent it is slightly curly now. It is still thick, and even seems slightly thicker, with more frizz then I had before. I can no longer wear one of my favorite pre-kids hairstyle (bob). I am still trying to figure out what kind of styles work best with the new texture.

I was told by a hair stylist that when you are pregnant your hair doesn't fall out like normal so after your baby is born you normally shed more than you would have before-I have never heard of anyone's hair changing after having a baby-mine's got the same annoying wave as always.

My hair never changed texture after either baby but it did get thicker while I was pregnant and I had very little hair loss during that time. After each delivery, I had a spell where I thought I was loosing so much hair in the shower, while I would brush or hair dry my hair that I would end up going bald. I have long hair and finally the excessive hair loss stopped just about the time I began to get really worried about it each time. You could never tell a difference from just looking at my hair but it was truly shocking to loose so much on a daily basis.

I had super curly hair before I had my son. About 5 months after I gave birth my hair became wavy and way more manageable! I hope it stays this way!

I just lost TONS of hair. :) And now I'm growing baby bangs. I haven't noticed a difference in terms of texture.
