My boys were out rolling down a hill this afternoon. They were having so much fun, I decided to look past the fact that my 6yo was wearing tan pants. Well now they are full of grass stains on the knees. They were like new. Any suggestions on getting these stains out.
The 1st product suggestion is Carbona. They make it for each type of stain. I had a bathing suit with rust on it and the one for rust got it all out.

Try Simple Green. I have used it to get all kinds of stains out, including blood.
There is a product in the laundry aisle at the grocery store specifically for grass stains. The product line sells other stain treatments for other tough to remove stains.
I totally agree with the Zout/OxyClean combo. It's gotten out all stains I've treated that way. Just be careful not to soak too long as it can start to bleach out the color in the clothing (i.e. don't leave it soaking more than 24 hrs, but one day is fine). It's gotten out clay stains, grass stains, blood, chocolate, etc. for me.

Apply a stain remover like, Shout, immediately. The longer you wait the harder the stain will be to remove. Make sure you're using a good laundry detergent. If the Shout doesn't work I've also had good results with Oxyclean.
Spray with Zout and soak in a bucket with 1 scoop OxyClean and a gallon of hot water. This combination has gotten everything out, including dried blood and dried chocolate.
I do something similar to what Amelia said.
Spray the stains with Zout or Shout. Let this sit at least 5 minutes. Put the items in your washer. Add plenty of Oxyclean along with your detergent and wash in hot water. This works for me usually after one wash. If not, repeating the process removes all of the stains.

For me, this has happend too many times to recall. I am a mom of three boys 13, 6, and 4. I use Spray and Wash stain stick remover. I rub it in well. If the stain is bad, I add into the treatment oxyclean liquid right on the stain after the spray and wash 5-10 minutes after putting it on the stain and rubbing it together. Pretreat it so to speak. Biz liquid works great on stains. Rub it into the stain really well and let it sit for awhile (they say don't let it dry on there, but I've let this happen a few times with no issues). I had the same problem a few weeks ago when my son decided to wear his khakis to school and, to my surprise, they went outside that day (it had been raining ALL morning).
