Anyone know what these are? they are clear braces. Just want to know if anyone has them or know someone that has them and how they like them and what do they do to clean them. I have them and everytime I take them out to eat,I always rinse them first, then I put them in the case they gave me and they always have an odd smell to them, as Im putting them back in my mouth. I always brush and floss my teeth before putting them back in, I also use the toothbrush to brush them before I put them back in my mouth.

Thanks in advance.

What can I do next?

Are you putting them in the case when they're still wet? Let them dry first and that should help w/ the smell.

Thanks G. for asking about invisalign. My sons are 14 and 12 and need braces which we are getting ready to look into very soon. I was afraid of the "traditional braces" as they are both very active in sports and in general and did not want to see them getting injuries from being bumped in the mouth and getting cuts from the braces. During sports they wear mouth protection but, stuff still happens outside of sports. I was wanting pros and cons from the invisalign users and if they knew on average the cost of this?

Thanks,
M.

I think you could soak them in Listerine, or Efferdent? The stuff made for dentures. My daughter has a retainer, and her fantastic orthodontist recommended the above. I know what you mean about the case stinking, too. Try wiping it w/ a Lysol wipe, and air dry.
Hope I helped!

Hi G.,
I am a dentist and do invisalign too! The responsed you have gotten are right on.....soaking them with a denture tablet or listerene is the best thing! Good for you for doing invisalign!!

My 11 yr. old nephew has Invisalign. My sister said you can't see it when he's wearing it. When he takes it out, it just looks like a piece of plastic. That is why he recently lost it at a restaurant when he took it out to eat and forgot about it. My sister has never had any complaints about them.

My husband had the invisalign and he soaks them in the denture cleaner. He always buys the Target generic brand denture cleaner. He always said his used to smell and he hasn't said anything about it since he started soaking them??? He's done using the daily appliance and now is down to the using the nightly one and he's still soaks it when he's not wearing it.

Hi G.,

I wear invisalign and have been for a year. I always brush them with toothpaste when I take them out to eat. I have gotten where I drink water in between meals so I do not have to take them out.
