Hey there my "SourceFamily" I live off 249 & I was wondering if anyone had any idea's or suggestions for a GOOD Chinese resturant in the area. Not a buffet, I have so given up on finding any flavor there, but a good one that has good Won-Ton Soup and a reasonable "Dinner for Two". I know we have PF Changs at Willowbrook, but our budget isn't really comfy enought to go there and feed a family of four. =) Any ideas, sugestions would be great. I used to live in East Houston and we had one called China Ko and I just got sooo spoiled. It's kinda scary to walk into a Chinese Rest. if you don't have any feedback before hand. =) Thank you all in advance!
I like EStar on 249 and 1960, even though its a buffet it has a wonderful wonton soup and sushi too! Hope you like it!
Tai Pei is THE BEST! They have great prices, dinner for 2 for 24.99 and the best Sushi! They are in the shopping center at 1960 & Champions Forest. I don't like Won Ton soup, but my husband does, and he loves theirs.
They are also very friendly there and always good w/ the kids.

I live in the 249 area as well and myself and my family love the Chinese resturant 'Egg Rolls'. It is located in the shopping center at hwy 249 & Louetta by Stein Mart & El Palenque, just down from Target. The food is very flavorful and fresh. They have great lunch and dinner combos, very reasonable prices and tons of food for the price. They even have a childrens menu. I love their soups. I hope you will enjoy them as well.
If you like P.F. Chang's, then you should like Pei Wei as they are the same company. I know it is a chain, but just a suggestion. There is a place not far from Willowbrook at 529 and Hwy 6, I can't remember the name, but everyone I know raves about it although I have not been there myself. It is next to the 24 Fitness. Also it you like Thai food there is a place at West and Hwy 6 called Thai Time that is excelent.
LOVE Chef Chans off Kuykendahl and near Cypresswood!! They have another location in the woodland that we thought was good but others say the kuykendahl location is better That is the ONLY place we get our chinese food!!!
Egg Rolls on 249 and Louetta is pretty good. As long as you don't like all the fried stuff. They do a good job on everything else. They use no MSG and good quality lean meats. Its not great, but it is the best I have found on this side of town.
We don't eat there, just do take out.
I moved here 4 years ago from CA and we have yet to find one...so if you find one please let me know I have been to several places that other people have suggested to us and none of them came close to the place we ate at in CA...we live in the same area you do so please if you get any suggestions that you try and like let me know my husband and I love chinese food!!
There is a really good restaurant at Spring Cypress and 249 called My Le behind the Burger King. There is also one at Louetta and Grant Road called Hunan Bistro in front of the Kroger. Both are really good and have fresh food. Good luck!
