Hello Mamas,

My family is buying gifts for 3 "Angel" children this year for Christmas. I have two little ones, so I am not sure what to get these kids in the toy department. We are getting them some clothes and would like to include some toys as well. Could you please let me know what 1st graders (boy) and 2nd graders (boy and girl) would like? They are all sibilings, so joint gifts would be fine too. I am looking for a few toys for each child as I would like to spend more money on clothes because they are more in need of clothes. Any advice would be great.
Thanks.

What can I do next?

We have a program at my work that is similar to the Angel program. In this program, the kids write letters to Santa. The teachers pull the poor children's letters and turn them into this program. They add their clothes and shoes sizes as well and stress if something is desperately needed (shoes for example). Some of the letters are hearbreaking....I once had a 6 year old who asked Santa for shampoo and food. This year, almost every one of the 5-7 year olds listed a laptop on their wish list to Santa (Vtech or Fisherprice). I had one of the 5 year olds who was all about Toy Story 3. I was able to purchase the VTECH Buzz Lightyear laptop for $40. This learning laptop may be a gift that all 3 could use. It contained a lot of programs etc. Boardgames also work to share. Another popular request from the girls (and one boy) in this age range was art supplies. They wrote "crayola sets." Good for you....you are making a big difference in these children's lives.

My second grade son asked for a football, Cuponk, Nerf Gun, science kit, Diary of a Whimpy Kid books, Bop It, alarm clock, and a dual action light saber.
At his school the girls are into those Ugg Boots with skinny jeans, Silly Bands with the silly charms, everything pink, American Girl dolls and Barbie.

My son's list (2nd grade) included Cuponk ($10), Rubik Slide ($16?) and Bop It Bounce ( $16?) for Christmas this year.
He also would like an Etch-A-Sketch, Magic 8 Ball, Smencils and art supplies.....
Good luck. How fun is that?

My first grade daughter loves anything Barbie, Littlest Petshop, or My Little Pony. She also loves board games: scrabble, operation, mousetrap, sorry, trouble.

I hope this helps :-)
