Ok so my babys turning 2 :( AnywayI'm part of a mom and baby group and we've been together since our kids were just 5weeks old. Well me and another mom from the group are arranging a birthday party/halloween party (all our kids were born in Novemer). So were looking for games that the soon to be 2 yr olds can play at the party. I'm at a loss so far. Only thing we came up with was letting the kids decorate their own cupcakes. Any/all help is appricated.

What can I do next?

why not let each child decorate their own birthday hat too. i know at walmart they have foam cut outs that are sticky on one side. they would have a blast with those!!!

One of our favorite games at Halloween is to make you Mommy a Mummy. We used toilet paper and wrapped a mommy.

We made ghosts our of a sucker and a tissue. Put a tissue over the sucker and tie a piece of yarn around the stick to keep it on. We used a marker to make eyes.

Make a treat hand. Get clear plastic gloves, put a piece of candy corn in each finger, for the nail, and then fill it with popcorn. Tie of the wrist.

find an easy Halloween song with finger play. I can usually find some on the net.

Read them a funny halloween book.

To work off energy, we alway used to have races.

We played pin the nose on the pumpkin at our Halloween party the past 2 years. Same rules as the donkey...just a cut out Jack-o-lantern instead, with triangle noses. Could make it out of construction paper, or like we did, use felt and put velcro on the nose pieces.

The kids are probably too young to make these but you could make them ahead of time and give them to them to play with. Pom-pom monsters - buy black and orange (or various colored) pom poms of different sizes and glue them (tacky glue works best) into various shapes and put wiggly eyes on them. Then you can let the kids run around with their 'monsters' they can name them and race with them or just chase each other. It just makes for wild silly fun.

It sounds silly but both my boys enjoyed playing clothes pins at that age. All you need is a step stool (or chair), clothes pins, and a container. They stand on the stool and see how many they can drop into the container. I think we did 3-5 clothes pins, and my kids loved it. It's simple enought that they could do it (test their skill ahead of time to determine the size of the container), and they loved being allowed to stand on the step stool. Good luck!
