What fun thing should I do today?
Just facing a wee bit of boredom, I guess. You know, just experiencing "Groundhog Day" experience.
Same stuff, different day.
Not complaining by the way, just looking for some fresh ideas. TIA ;)
go for a walk outside
bake some cookies
walk around the mall
get lunch at costco
go for a scenic drive
have a picnic at the park
Bake something - bread, cookies, muffins, etc.
Put some music on and dance with your kids.

How old are your kids?
Are they crafty?
My 7 year old is into upcycling right now so we convert old tshirts & sweatshirts into pillows and stuffed animals, made a dog toy out of an old pair of jeans (http://www.instructables.com/id/No-Sew-Denim-Dog-Toy/), and turned an old sparkly holiday dress into a lampshade. Then we used the fabric scraps to decorate cardstock for greeting cards.
We also made soap balls from all of the leftover soap slivers.
When we had a don't know what to do with ourselves day last fall, we knocked on the door of our church rectory and told them to put us to work for two hours. We cleaned choir loft and then they let us take home the old bird's nest we found in a window sill. We spent the rest of the afternoon researching what kind of bird it was, photographing the nest, and writing about it (both nonfiction science report and a fictional story about the birds.)
Hubby and I have been outside prepping the garden to start planting vegetables.......
I've been having an absolute ball cleaning and organizing my basement😉
We went to church this morning. We are going to the zoo right after lunch. We will watch a movie together after supper.
