Do any of you use the Fly Lady Method to keep your home clean? If so, I need some remedial help understanding her system ;-) I understand that you do the Home Blessing and spiffy up a bit as well work in the zones, but I am confused as to when she gets all the other stuff done on her weekly list. Does she just do a few of those things each week or really do all of that each week? I really want to make this work if I can!

I have a cleaning service. I have tried to look at Fly Lady Method and don't have time to read all of it. LOL
Call me if you need some help J. ###-###-#### I could get you caught up on the cleaning in a few hours. That would free you to get your personal things done. I live in Keller TX.

I LOVE Flylady and it absolutely does work...if you work it. Delete the emails that overwhelm you and read the ones that don't. Try to make it simple. The point of it is to keep on top of cleaning your house a little each day and then there is no need for the crash cleaning we all usually do when we know company is coming over. Attack your piles of "hot spots"....those areas of papers or crafts, etc that you have laying around. Those things are dragging you down and making you feel heavy. Get rid of everything you don't use and you don't love. That's where my business comes in, if needed. I am a Professional Organizer and I go to people's homes to help them declutter. I help them get their homes organized and back to basics instead of living with so much stuff. We find a place for everything. Even if you don't need a Professional Organizer, read Flylady and try to follow along. Many of the habits she creates in you will stick and over time you will see a huge difference in your home and in your attitude. It can be life-changing. I wish you luck. If you need any encouragement, write me or Flylady.net. I don't know her, but I do believe in her system. It has transformed my home and my life! Joyfully, B. W P. ###-###-####

i've "fallen off the wagon" a lot w/ flylady b/cs sometimes it works and soemtimes it doesn't, but i think she gets the rest of the housework done just by doing the 15 min timer thing. set your timer, work in the LR, then quit when it goes off, etc. do you get the emails? they clog up my inbox but they're helpful for outlining what i need to think about for the day.

i don't bother with the email stuff (way too many of them). the most important things to know is this: do the before bed routine, and then the morning routine. (they both allow time to veg as well)
i used her am/pm routines, and her example of a weekly routine and used my dayplanner to make it work for MY schedule (taking into account that i go to the library on tues, bible study on wed, playdate on thurs, and remembering that some days i need to cook 2 meals because i'll be too busy the next day, stuff like that). i typed up my own personal weekly routine with hers as a guide. doing those 3 routines, and then just checking on monday morning to see what zone we're in for the week (zone is just "special attention" to one area), everything in the house gets covered. it worked for me for months, but i've since had surgery and some blood clots developed, so i obviously fell behind between no energy and taking care of my son. HOWEVER, before the surgery, this worked very well for me, and i've recently gotten back into it! just keep it pretty simple. (oh and one more thing: that sink shining thing is not what you have to do EVERYDAY-you do that to start the week, and then just keep it clean every day...DOES make a difference, lol).
