Fashion Blogs

Hi Ladies - I need a little fashion advice. I went to a Holiday breakfast yesterday and felt like I could not pull a fun creative outfit together. I need to shop on a budget but want to add some fun eye catching pieces. I am over 40 so by eye catching I mean trendy colors and styles. I would wear skinny jeans and boots this time of year but want longer tops that I have no idea where to find. I have a closet full of clothes and surely I can use some pieces. Could you recommend any fashion blogs that help you get creative and stay on trend? It is still close to 80 degrees here in Arizona and I can't even have fun with jackets and scarves yet! Hopefully that will change...for a couple of weeks at least. I also need help in the shoe department - I can't wear heels over 2 inches, I live in Jambu shoes but they are a bit chunky and do not look great with skinny pants. Any and all suggestions will be graciously accepted! Thank you and I hope you all have a great Holiday Season!

What can I do next?

My favorite fashion blog hands down is cupcakes and cashmere. It's fashion and so much more. http://cupcakesandcashmere.com/kpicasa-outfits/

As for dressing age appropriate and still looking great, trying things on and looking in a full length mirror that can give you almost a full 360 degree look at your self is the best.

I love red and gold for the holidays. I have a few statement pieces that say WOW and I am able to dress up that classic white shirt with awesome jewelry and I have some pretty amazing red sweaters and a sparkly gold turtleneck too.

Ballet flats are still fashionable and super comfortable and look good with skinny jeans. I shy away from wearing longer tops with my skinny jeans but instead opt to wear a suit jacket instead or button down sweater. It adds just the right amount of style to any outfit I'm throwing together. I hope this helps.
