I had an abnormally high level of testosterone for a while.....was prescribed aldactone to bind to the testosterone and the acne in my neck area and the dark hairs went away completely after several months of treatment. Otherwise, laser is the way to go!

Vancouver probably has a significant Indian and Pakistani population.
Go to the area where their restaurants and shops are
and see if there's a shop that offers THREADING.
Talk to the person there and have her explain threading to you.

I buy the Sally Hansen wax strips at WalMart. They work for a few weeks at a time for me.

You can buy wax at the drug store and do it yourself. Sally hanson has one that comes in a little plastic pot to melt it in. It works well for me!

Whatever you do, don't shave! It makes it worse. There is a cream out called, vaniqua. It works, but if you stop using it, it stops working! I think it is exspensive also. Talk to your doc.

You can try waxing or threading

I have mine threaded. But I would love to have laser treatment or electrolysis.

I use a Bellabee, found it on Amazon.com. It's similar to threading but uses a coiled wire. I use it once a week while watching TV, it takes about half an hour. It's easier on my skin than waxing or depilatory and gets rid of all the fine hairs that are hard to get with tweezers.

I also buy the Sally Hansen wax strips at WalMart. They work well, and the pain only lasts a second lol

waxing or threading, waxing will actually damage the root shaft over time, which will make the hairs come back thinner/sparser.

if it isn't so noticeable or very course, I would suggest the little finishing touch trimmer. you can do it daily, just a little swipe and that's it. you can get it off tv, or places like walgreens/cvs/bed bath and beyond...

I don't know if medical doctors do this but naturoapathic doctors do. Get a hormone test (usually spit) that tells you if your estrogen, progesterone and testoterone is off. If you progesterone is off and you need progesterone I would get Dr. Lee's because it is the best. He did a lot of research (has a book out) and found out that 99% of the progesterone out there are not consistent with what is on the label.

Also, look on the internet under causes of women's facial hair and your diet has something also to do with this. I think too many carbs but I can't remember but it is out there on the net.

Don't pluck!! You're only stimulating your hair follicles if you pluck! I do electrolysis, which is really effective. I started by going every two weeks, which quickly moved to every three weeks, then every five weeks and now I can go every two or three months and she has barely any left to remove - this after a year! It's not nearly as expensive as laser, so that's good. I pay $27 for a 15 minute session, which is usually all that's really needed.

Waxing.. I buy it at drugstore.com. surgi brand wax used it for ten years.. they sell facial and a brazilian wax.. they are the same lol I noticed they just charged more for a tiny face bottle.. also I noticed this is the kind of wax they use when I have my eyebrows done at the salon.. it is around six dollars.. takes a few times to get. The hang of waxing.. what I do with surgi wax remove lid microwave full jar about one and half minutes.. then take out super hot stir freqently let stand ten minutes..till thickerthat is the key thicker consisentcy because u put it on kind of thick so u grab hold of strip on face to remove.. I learned this after many years. Good luck.

I had an aesthetician once tell me that you pluck a chicken, but you tweeze your facial hair. While that doesn't offer any useful advice, I thought it was funny to share! I remember it to this day and when I catch myself saying "pluck" I chuckle and then quickly correct myself! = )

waxing or threading.. but i heard from friends who get threading done that it really hurts .... they prefer waxing also :)

i use wax that you warm up in the microwave, i can get several uses out of a container & it lasts a few weeks

Electroysis I've been going for years off and on it's painful but effective, I've also heard good reviews about laser.

I went to electrolysis for 5 years straight! I started going once a week for chin hairs. Eventually I made it to once a month for general maintaining of the area. It worked great as long as I kept going. I eventually moved and stopped going. After about a year, the hair grew back. They do say it is new growths, but it always seemed to me to be the same pesky hairs. Ughhhh! After all that pain and cost! So I wonder if anything is permanent. But you can be assured, many, many women have this problem.

Wax - I rarely do it myself. Its about $10 at a salon near me and last over a month. They do such a better job at it than I do at home.
