I use Dust Connection, but only for regular cleaning. I'd check them out to see if they service Oak Park. They are $20/hour and I've had nothing but a good experience with them. With a phone call you can tell them exactly what you want. They'll give you an estimate on the phone and that's that. I think they have a 3-hour minimum. The best lady that we've used is Maria. She's great with kids too.

Sweeping Dimensions does work in both the City and suburbs. They are a 4/5 person team who comes in and gets everything done quickly. When you call to set up an appointment, tell the woman, Lottie what your situation is and she will inform the team leader. They clean my house regularly, but we have also used them when a tenant has moved out of our building or for specific tasks. They charge $65/hour but because there are 4 or 5 of them it doesn't take all day.

Hi K.. We are in Oak Park and use a cleaning service called Sweeping Dimensions. We have been very happy with them so far. They'll clean anything you tell them to. The first time they cleaned our house, they did a "deep clean" and it looked great (windows and all!).

You have probably already found a cleaning service (I am behind in checking my messages) but just in case you are still looking here is my recommendation. The week before I brought my baby home I got a deep clean from a great company
- they only use environmentally friendly products (great because you don't want your children exposed to all those chemicals) and
- it is a coop so the housekeepers are also "owners" and they get most of the hourly wage ($18 out of the $20/hr - most agencies take the majority of the money and the housekeeper only makes minimum wage).

Congratulations on your baby!! I, too, am the mother of a preemie and researched so many cleaners prior to his arrival home, because we didn't want harsh chemical irritating his tiny, preemie lungs. The company we use is Shaklee, they have been making safe cleaners for 50 years.

More important than the service is the actual cleaning products used. Most brand name cleaning products contain harsh and harmful ingredients and children are expecially susceptible because their respiration rates are 3 times that of an adult. I purchase my cleaning and personal care items from a 21 year old Wellness Company.
