Emergency Stain Removal!!

I was doing laundry this morning, and saw that the brand new shirt my daughter wore yesterday has grape juice and bar-b-cue sauce all over it. It is not white, so bleach wont work. The kids were with a babysitter last night, so I did not know about it until now. I have sprayed shout on it, and put regular ERA detergent on it..any other thoughts before I wash it?? Will this ever come out??? I guess the lesson learned is to change the kids before leaving them with the sitter for BBQ chicken and grape juice!!! TIA ~A.~

What can I do next?

SolUMel does work, but I don't get Melaleuca stuff right now. Couldn't afford the monthly shipment.

There are also little yellow bottles of stain removers at Albertson's and fabric stores. **Carbona Stain Devils** updated post

I have the one for ink stains and another for food and grease stains. They have saved several of my clothes were my pretreat didn't work or hubby washed clothes but never pretreats. (Now I don't have to freak out... I just groan internally a little before fixing it.)

Oxyclean. I have gotten out multi-washed and dried-in red wine stains, and almost anything else that is organic. You've got to make a soak bucket with really hot water and at least five scoops of Oxyclean. Stir it up really well and soak the shirt for at LEAST three hours, but preferably overnight. You'll see the bubbles immediately start attacking the stain. You've GOT to use a lot of product, and you've GOT to give it time. The only things I haven't been able to remove are car grease and dye. Lots of people think Oxyclean doesn't work, but from my experience they didn't use enough or give it enough time to soak.

Oxiclean. I used it to get Red Wine out of our NEW SUV. just make sure the stain is out before putting it in the dryer.

I just asked about stain removers after being sick of constant stains on my girls new clothing :) Here's what the wonderful mamasource moms had to say.

Zout is AWEWSOME! Especially with red stains like what you have. Walgreens and wal-mart carry it.

Check to make sure the stains have COME OUT BEFORE you put the shirt in the dryer!!

I also recommend the Sol-U-Mel and Pre-Spot, but (just in case they don't work the 1st time)...I always add a little MelaMagic to my son's clothes...he's a typical nearly 3-year-old!! :) Had a couple of his shirts that I had to really work hard to get the stains out, but they did eventually....On top of that, the products are making it so much easier for him to breathe ( without additional meds) that I wouldn't trade them for anything, anyway!

Message me if you need some extra help!!

Try Peroxide! that seems to work on blood and most stains from food.

I don't know if you dry good clothes, but if you do---MAKE SURE the stain is out before drying. If not, repeat til it is. Once you dry it, that is usually IT! Good Luck!! :)
