My daughter saw her for a cyst removal on her face....she did a good job. My only concern is the scarring. I know that a scar is to be expected but she had led me to believe it would be a little "less" than it is. However, anyone would have left the scar and the scar would have reacted the same way no matter who had done it. We like her staff and when there was a scheduling mix up she called me at home herself. So, yes, I would say overall our experience was good.

I just had a tummy tuck and a breast lift with her in September 2009. She is the best and I am so happy with the results. I am a 47 year old mother of 4 and have had a 150 pound weight loss over the past 2-1/2 years and, like you, needed to do something for me! I have known her for 6-1/2 years...learned of her through my infant daughter's pediatrician right after she was born...she is 6-1/2 now. She had a hemangioma on the back of her neck and Dr. Carman specializes in children too - she was wonderful with her. She has the most wonderful beside manner and great integrity and will not try and sell you a procedure you do not need. I just love her and her follow up is impeccable. Although I got another opinion, just because that is what we all should do, I never questioned who I would go with...you will not ever regret it. Please feel free to contact me directly if you would like to talk about anything specific...I would be happy to discuss all that was done and how the healing and all is going. Good luck to you and I look forward to hearing from you if you would like.

F.,
I agree with the trainer that said exercise first and get as close to your goal as possible before you do the surgery! While you're exercising take good quality Omega 3(example: Nordic Naturals) to restore the elasticity in your skin/cell walls.

Go for the health factor first and do as much for your skin as you can, then do the surgery and make sure you take oral Vitamin E after the surgery and treat the scar with it also to lessen the scar.

As a personal trainer, I had a client who had one several years ago. I think she would have been better off doing core exercises. Her abs just didn't look right and she wasn't happy with it.
Hiring a good personal trainer is less expensive and it will improve you overall health. If the exercises don't acheive what you want you can always have the surgery later. But if the surgery doesn't work, you are stuck with it.

I think you should look in to Dr. Todd Pollock. He has an office with his dad, Dr. Harland Pollock. They have 2 offices in the area, one in Allen and one in Dallas. www.drpollock.com.
They have a technique they use when closing up the tuck that they are published on and lecture around the world on. It will leave you with minimal scaring!! I tell you this from experience!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I had mine almost 3 weeks ago and am glad I chose him!
I have 2 kids and have worked out with a trainer for 2 years, and workout 6x a week. I am in great shape, but there are just some skin things that all the training in the world can't fix.

I absolutely love Dr. Carmen Stiles! I had a nose reconstruction in July and she was my Dr. I have nothing but good things to say about her and all of the people in her office. Good Luck!

Hi F.,
I had Dr. Stiles do my reconstruction after a double mastectomy. Her office staff was amazing. I love Adrian (tall blond nurse), Dana, and Alisha. They all are so caring especially when you are in some extra pain after your surgery. I did not get a tummy tuck at that time, as my body had gone through a lot, but now want to. I have seen her tummy tucks and they are great work. I would highly recommend Dr. Stiles and her work. She is a perfectionist. I think she made me look very feminine compared to when I left the hospital.
This is probably more than you may have wanted about her and her staff, but I would go back in a heartbeat to her.
