I'm trying to find a new pediatrician for my son. The one he has, I think, has too many patients & she doesn't take the time to answer my questions-terrible! She is also in Temple Terrace which is just too far to drive. Any good peditricians in New Tampa??

I love my son's pediatrician- Dr. Richard Wilde. He is with the group Pediatric Alliance, but I always only ask to see him and have had no problems getting appointments. He did move from the Wesley Chapel office to Lutz (off SR 54), but I think the extra few minutes is worth it. ###-###-#### office #
I second the Dr. Jacobs opinion. I too am a bit of a freak when it comes to my daughter getting sick. He is very calming,understanding and knowledgable.

You didn't mention which end of New Tampa you needed, but I highly recommend Dr. Lipschutz or Dr. Perkins from the Pediatric Healthcare Alliance on Fletcher (behind USF). Even my OB/GYN said that he believes they are the two best pediatricians in the county. Good luck in your search!
We see Dr. Jacob at Pediatric Healthcare Alliance, too. He's great with our children and good at calming me down when I go in convinced my children have some terrible disease. My daughter absolutely adores him - taking him pictures each time we go. We are always able to get in and the group has evening hours, as well as weekend hours at a location on Bearss if you need to be seen. Their number is ###-###-####.
I go to the Pediatric Health Care Alliance and LOVE it. We see Dr. Tan primarily, but we've also seen Dr. Wilde and Dr. Buzzeo and both were great. The nurses there are fantastic as well as the reception staff. I always get a call back from Dr. Tan himself even for lab results. I am constantly impressed by the personal attention that we get there. It would probably take 10-15 minutes to get there from the New Tampa area. I see the docs at My Pediatrics. I really like Masterman-Smith the most. I don't really like the main doc in the practice, Kolb, but you might. They also have a new one, Jackson who has been loved by many a friend of mine lately. It's right in the Circuit City Plaza at Highwoods Preserve by the Karate place.
Hello, My kids go to the Pediatric Healthcare Alliance and I love it. The Dr. is very nice and asks a lot of questions and looks them over well. They are on the corner of SR54 and Bruce B Downs in the Winners parking lot.

I just started using Tendercare Pediatrics and LOVE them. It is just one doctor which I seem to prefer and so far she has been wonderful. They are in Wesley Chapel right off of Bruce B Downs, I live in Tampa Palms and she is worth the drive. Her number is ###-###-####. They are open weekdays and can set appointments for Saturday and emergency appointments on Sunday if need be, another thing I like about her is after hours you call the office it rings her cell phone. The receptionist name is Myra and very helpful, I believe she is worth looking into.

We have used Dr. Teena Hughes (Fletcher, across from USF) since our daughter was 9 months old. We love her and she will spend time with you. Very nice and our daughter never minds going to see her!

I agree with the other Mums who recommended “My Pediatrics” – especially Dr Hoyos and Dr Jackson. My 3 year old daughter has been seeing the doctors there (located in the Circuit City / Linens N Things plaza in New Tampa), since she was in the hospital. The office staff is SO nice, all the doctors are really wonderful - they listen, answer questions, extremely accommodating for 'emergency' apts, I never feel rushed during a visit and the couple of times that I've called after hours, I've gotten a call within 10 minutes. Plus, they are open Saturday and Sunday mornings. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Hoyos, My Pediatrics, is a family friend of ours and the only pediatrician we would use!
My Pediatrics is awesome. Dr. Hoyos is the greatest. They are located between Hunters Green and Interstate 75. (18055 Highwoods Preserve Pkwy. - Phone # ###-###-####) We have been going to Dr. Hoyos for a total of 10 years. This weekend we had to see Dr. Jackson in this office and she seemed very nice and thorough as well. Good Luck!
