Disney's Tangled...only Fun for Girls ???

I took my daughter to see Tangled last weekend and we saw a friend from her class there with his mom:) They enjoyed it. They also mentioned that it was better than Megamind. Tangled is actually told from the perspective of the fellow that ends up saving Rapunzel. A horse is also one of the main characters. I didn't think it was a girlie movie. I would recommend it. I took my 10 (girl), 8 (boy), and 2 (boy) to see both over Thanksgiving break and they liked both of them. If you asked my 8 year old, he liked Megamind over Tangled, but they were both really good.

My DS8 liked both a lot, but megamind was his favorite.

Since he's sitting right here: here are his AFTER the fact (he was laughing like crazy *during* each movie) descriptions of Tangled & Megamind:

"Tangled is 'iffy'. Since there's action in it, I like it... but there was a lot of kissy goo goo romance stuff... which I hate."

"Megamind is awesome, great and awesome. Tell them it's action and adventure with a person with a huge bald head that's blue, and he likes to give himself spanks with his stretchy suit, and it's really funny. Hilarious funny."

Tangled was great fun and my 6 yr old son loved it.
it's a great adventure. With some very funny parts that your boys will love.

Tangled was great! My husband said it was his favorite disney movie by far.

My 6 yo nephew did not want to watch Tangled, assuming it was too girly, but had too and really enjoyed it. It is so not "just a girl" type of movie.

my four-year-old son loved Tangled. The male character and the horse provide plenty of testosterone. and there were some older kids there (boys, 8-10ish) that were laughing a lot and seemed to really enjoy it.

I saw Tangled last night with my 4yr old daughter. It was great. It has quite a bit of action so I think it is fine for boys too although your 3 year old would like it better than your 9 year old. Your 9 year old would probably like Megamind better. If you are taking both at the same time you may want to go to Megamind.

I've heard great things about Tangled! I have two boys,and I'm definitely planning to take the 4 year old to see it. I've heard mixed reviews about Megamind, so we'll probably wait for Netflix on that one. I may make "Tangled" my 2 year old's first movie.

We took boys and girls - it was a great movie! Megamind we didn't care for and we see ALL of the 'kids' movies.

I think the 3 year old would like it, but it's probably too girly for a 9 year old boy.

I haven't seen either, but I'd love to see Tangled. My son is 15 and I told him I'd like to see it. He rolled his eyes, but I know we'll watch it when it comes out on video.

It looks like a really cute movie and I think little boys would enjoy it. There's a male "hero" in it. It's a spin on a classic.

Oh they'll love it. There's enough adventure for boys and enough comedy for the parents! I loved the movie.

Boys will like Tangled too. There was a grown man cracking up at parts of the movie when I took my daughter last weekend. I haven't seen Megamind but I want to.

megamind is awesome! we (the adults) loved it. you will too. it is poignant and sweet which i didn't expect. i haven't seen tangled, so i can't vouch for it, but wanted to stand up for megamind lol. have fun!

Took my daughter and my best friend and her kids to see Tangled. Her 5 year old son LOVED It! Ratings were great!

I heard Megamind was horrible and the ratings were half of what Tangled was.
