Hi moms,
Has anyone ever used diet pills that worked? There are so many out there now; Jillian Michaels, Kim Kardashian, Alli, etc... I need to lose about 20 lbs. I'm going to try to exercise more, but you know how easy that is when you're a mom! :) I'm also going to watch what I eat. I'm just looking for a little extra help.

Thanks!

I have a healthy plan with two meal replacements per day if that would interest you. This plan works and it is extremely healthy. My husband is diabetic and he did it. Let me know if I can tell you more about it.

None of them actually work! You will gain all of the weight back unless you plan on taking the pills FOREVER -and that would be amazingly unhealthy, plus the effects would probably subside anyway. You have to change portion control, nutrition and get exercise!

Hi T.,

Weight loss is all about nutrition and what your body needs to be balanced. My husband actually lost 110 pounds on an absorbable multivitamin. He lost the first 60 pounds with no diet change and no activity change. When he was so excited about the weight he lost, he was REALLY motivated to exercise. We never ate badly, don't eat any differently now than we did then. His body simply did not have the nutrition he needed. The vitamins we take are guaranteed to absorb and there is a 90 day money back refund if they don't do what you want them to do. Every one in my family is on them.

Diet pills change the chemistry in your body. They possibly can help you lose weight. But will it stay off? Rob has kept his weight off for 5 years because his body is doing what it is supposed to.

Hope I helped!

M.

Hey T.,

Be oh so careful please! Diet pills are usually unsafe in the long run. They contain several ingredients that our bodies were not meant to process.

Exercising is nearly impossible for me too - so I resorted long ago to just playing with them. By running, chasing, tickling, taking walks, swimming and playing games (soccer, baseball, kickball - i have all boys can you tell?).... I've found that pretty much the easiest way for me to get my heart rate up and going.

Try looking at a major diet change, not just watching what you eat. I know. I know. It totally sucks. But I swear that it works and if you'll just keep at it you'll see results and won't put your body in jeopardy.

Hope this helped... probably not what you wanted to hear - but I'd stay away from diet pills. Drink more fluids, cut out sugars and 1/2 the carbs, cut your calorie intake by a little bit and start taking vitamins.

You have a natural metabolism for a reason, let it work in your favor!

Best of luck!

Definitely don't do it. Diet pills do NOT work. After I gained a bunch of weight being pregnant...I didn't know how to lose it. I used to be one of those lucky people who could eat whatever I wanted and not exercise...but after my first child that went away. So I did try all differnt kinds of diet pills and literally I would maybe lose a pound or two...but nothing substantial and it didn't stay off.

I unfortunately had to change my diet and exercise and poof the weight came off. It took time and I HATED exercising...but I tried a few different kinds and eventually found ones I loved and now I'm a total exercise freak. I actually have the urge to go exercise. I know it sounds crazy. Just start slow and find things you like to do.

If you don't belong to a gym and can add that expense...many gyms have little daycares where you can go workout and they'll watch the kids (included in the price of your membership). If not, taking walks with the kids is a great start, while they're napping either do a video or run up and down stairs or something like that. You don't need equipment to get in shape. And there's always a time when you can squeeze it in. I have several friends who even wait until their kids are asleep at night to do something. Or they wait til their husbands are home or whatever.

If you go into it thinking you don't have the time because you have kids...then you'll never make the time. You can do it! Just don't waste your money (or health) on diet pills.
Good luck! :) You can do it!

DO NOT DO IT! Try weight watchers, it will teach you better eating habits and portion control. DIET PILLS = BAD!!! Alli is HORRIBLE and anything that a celebrity endorses is just money in their pocket, do you really think they use it, or did any research on the product?? Drink more water, exercise and eat smaller size portions.

I agree, don't do it. Healthy nutritious food and exercise alone will get you the body you want, but remember to have patience. It's not a quick process, it's a lifestyle change...I did this and lost about 50 pounds before getting pregnant, so for now I have slowed down on the exercise but after the baby I plan on trying to build up a routine again.

Also remember- All those celebrities have enough money for people to care for their children while they pay for personal trainers to whip them into shape for 8 hours a day...then they make more money by trying to sell you a pill to get their amazing body.

Hi T.,

Diet pills may seem like they work at first - the problem is that your results will be temporary. I went from a size 7 down to a size 1 in under a month and have maintained it for over 2 years now - I naturally built my muscles back by feeding them properly and not only did I lose my weight I feel amazing with energy to spare every single day! I am a personal wellness coach - I would be happy to do a free body analysis for you and make some simple recommendations that will help you get Forever results! Hi Tracy,
I agree with Patty. I used the system she is referring to and lost 3.5 inches off my waist in 2 weeks. The products taste great too.
The other poster is not informed. These scientists do know what they are doing. The products are thoroughly tested for safety and efficacy. And it is not as simplistic calories in and calories burned. Calories from a donut are going to make you fat where the same amout of calories from vegetables won't. Foods, especially those with trans fats will make us fat even if calories are restricted because they mess up metaboism
Contact Patty and get the scoop. It is the only program I know of where you loose only fat and no muscle.

Hi T.!

I have battled my weight my entire life and have tried nearly every fad diet and over the counter diet pill under the sun. None of them worked for me...all they did was make me feel "funny." I can't stand when my heart beats rapidly or when I can't catch my breath. My husband and I were introduced to a product called Bios Life Slim back in February and since then I have lost 20 pounds and 2 dress sizes. I have done all of this without exercising or changing my eating habits. My husband has been exercising (he is a Marine) and has lost almost all of his body fat. The product is very easy to use...mix it with 10oz of water 15 minutes before you eat. There is VERY impressive scientific research behind the product, and everyone I know that is using it has lost A TON of weight, and A TON of fat. My husband became a distributor solely to be able to purchase the product at wholesale because it is quite expensive. You can go to his website:
www.makelifebetter.com/ericgreenlee click on products, then on Bios Life Slim. Take a look at some of the videos...I think you will be very impressed! Also, feel free to email me directly at ____@____.com if you have any questions about this product! Good luck in your weight loss journey!

How about fiber pills and lots of water with exercise. The only way I would lose a lot of weight was when I ran 3 or more miles 3 times a week or almost every other day. I took my kids in the jogging stroller. Walking will help you too but you will lose at a slower rate. The first time I tried, I couldn't get very far, but one summer I was going about 5 miles. That was almost too much. Make sure you have toys for the kids, mine likes bubbles, eating a snack or a drawing toy. The fiber pills will help you to stay full longer. But even better will be to eat more fruits and veggies since you are not supposed to take those pills every day. I worry about the long term effects of those diet pills. Just about every one that has come out, has later shown to be dangerous or in-effective. If you do exercise, you will gain muscle so, don't look at the scale but rather, your new dress size. You'll be happy.

I actually got pills from the dr. they are called Phentermine (basically it's speed). Supresses your appetite and ups your energy, it's not magic, you still have to make some better choices, but it def. suppresses your appetite enough to lose pounds (I've lost 25 lbs.) It's not a super quick working thing but that helps to manage keeping the weight off. My dr. said it's one of the oldest diet pills, and it's safe as long as you don't have high blood pressure.

Phentermine. I know a few people that took it including myself. The average lost between us in a month was 20 pds & only 1 lost 18pds. What it is, is a appitite depressant & then you take a fat burner, a water pill, a posstasum pill and a b12 shot for energy this really works! I had a hard time losing weight after I had my daughter. My daughter is now 16 months & I just started taking these about a month ago and I lost 23pds in one month! I only have 30 to go and i'll be back to my pre baby weight! talk to your doctor about it. some might not know about it and some might and wont reckonmend it beacuse it is a drug and if you have heart problems or high blood pressure it can be fetal so they wont let people with certian issues go on it. google it or email me if you want more info. The doctor I go to is in lansing...Not sure where your from but im sure you can find them..... oh if you decide to workout while taking these you shed the weight faster. Even if you dont workout but if you do some walking or just a normal day runnin around you'll still loose the weight faster but it might be 18 instead of 23 but you never kno you can sit on a couch maybe and still lose the weight..lol i personally like them if you need to lose the weight fast or just cuz your tired of being over weight and you tried everything and nothing worked these pills are the way to go! i really felt like me again when i started sheding the pds i started doing more and started to do old things i couldnt do anymore. I have tried doin everything and nothing worked for me but this did but if your more of the organic or natural way which it seems your not but they have this stuff called herbal life its natural herbs and helps you lose weight to but not as fast. if you have any questions let me know i'll be glad to answer! Good Luck T.!.....oh the phen. doesnts cost to much its 93 for 1 month and its wroth it!

Pills didn't work for me. What did work was The Belly Fat Cure. I picked up the book at Costco and it's amazing the difference. In a month I went from a size 10 to a size 6. No more belly or muffin top. I do work out about 30 minutes 4 times a week. Watch your carbs and processed sugars - it's amazing and you'll feel great too after you change how you eat. I tracked it for about the first 2 weeks and then after that I just know what to eat. What you think is good for you - like salads - aren't. Too much sugar and fat in dressings. Check it out. Good luck.

Phentermine works very well!! You need a prescription for it though. I had a tough time losing the last of my baby weight also so I went to the Nutrition Clinic in Arlington Heights, they give you a meal plan and the pills which control hunger and speed up metabolism and I ended up losing 25 lbs! I tried Alli but didn't care for the unpleasant side effects which were really gross.

Hi T.,

Girl, I feel your pain..I have been a rollercoaster since my second child was born. I tried diet pills before, but they really never helped me. Did you ever try Slim Fast Shakes? Somehow those shakes supresses my appetite. I lost 7 lbs this weekend! Unfortunately, my ILs caused it.

I have personally tried diet pills only to knock my metabolism off track. I now have personally used products by Ardyss. Along with the reshaping garment the 2-step program has help me lose 18 lbs. I used the Nutrishake as a meal replacement, took the Triplelifeline, LeVive, and completed the Ultra Body Cleanse.

i feel your pain. but diet pills really don't work, they're a great way to make someone else rich. (and alli causes 'anal leakage'. i mean, really, what is worth that??) losing weight for the long-term is a slow process but well worth it. and it's a combination of diet and exercise, neither one works well without the other. hang in there!

Hello. While I am inclined to agree with the other posts, I sympathize with you. I have about 70 lbs to lose and I work out 3-5 days a week, watch what I eat (I have been doing all this since the middle of December) I have gone down in size, and I feel a bit better (I have some health conditions; Crohn's Disease, Fibromyalgia, Migraines, Etc.) But I have only lost 4 lbs. Its hard and frustrating, Since I have already changed my exercise and eating habits, I am going to talk to my doctor about addipex. (I'm not sure if that's how you spell it, but it is a prescription weight-loss drug) you are only suppose to take it up to 3 months at a time, and in that time you are suppose to train yourself to be healthier.
I have also heard good reviews about Alli. (once again uncertain of the spelling, but there are commercials on tv all the time) Good Luck!!!!!
