Could I Be Pregnant? - Bristow,OK

Ok, so here's my senario....my husband and I are using condoms since I'm off the pill and we were going to wait another 6 months before trying. Well, 23 days into my last cycle we "slipped up" and didn't put one on. I am now 1 week late on my period and 12 days after the "slip up". About 16 days into my last cycle I noticed the "egg-whitish" discharge so I am pretty sure I was ovulating then! I've taken 2 home pregnancy tests and both are negative. But, I'm still now at my 35th day of my cycle and still no period. I guess I'll just wait another week or so and take another test. Any suggestions or similar experiences?

What can I do next?

Sometimes "slipping up" is all it takes. : ) You sure could be pregnant. Wait another week, like you mentioned and try it again. Not everyone has a positive pregnancy test at the same time. Best of luck!

Your only a week late. Sometimes it take's longer than that to show up on the pregnancy test. Wait another week and take the test again.

similiar Yes! I'm going through that right now. I have PCOS so we have nver used anything. And after having two children using reproductive assistance, something may be happening. But before with both children I knew early....like day 33 and day 35, both came up with positive pregnancy tests. But having PCOS I have had cycles that last more than 36 days, and would produce a negative pregnancy test. I'd say call your doctor and take a blood test, which is the most definite answer.

I am a late tester. I don't get positive tests right when I should, so I would wait a bit and retest. Even if you didn't conceive during the "slip up" which seems a bit late in your cycle to do so, you could have conceived any time you used the condom as they are not 100% effective. I know, I have a 16 month old that I am pretty sure was conceived when we did use something. :) He was a great surprise.

I first tested a week after my missed period and it was negative. I waited another week and then it was positive. I knew I was pregnant though because my cycle is like clockwork. Not sure if it mattered or not, but for the first test I used a cheap test and then spent the money on a good one for the second test. A year later I have a happy and healthy baby boy. Best of luck to you.
