I am 9 days past ovulation and 5 days before I am due to start my Menstral Cycle I have JUST recenlty started trying to concieve So I find it HIGHLY unlikely that I would be lucky enough to concieve this fast, BUT I have been having MULTIPLE early pregnancy symptoms for the last 4 days or so such as extreme nausea , light dull cramping too early to be my normal menstral cramps, heartburn & I keep smelling things no one else dose I am SO tired AND I keep waking up at 3:56 am EVERY morning to pee & that has never been an issue before...... but then again I could just be wanting them to be early pregnancy symptoms SO bad!! How ever I went to the urgent care to see if there was something more seriouse going on and my white blood cells are NOT elevated so they said I was not fighting anything off to be concerned about... they did not take a pregnancy blood test being that it was a urgent care wich dose not run that as standard test ? Being 5 days before I am due to start my menstral cycle I bought a Dollar tree home test & I got a negative should I be dissapointed or how likely am I to actually BE pregnant.

Just found out I. pg ! And it was such a hard long wait I had to wait 12-13 days after ovulation for it to be a faint postive I bought clearblue, EPT and dollart tree and both the name brands detected it. Not dollar trees I stocked up on those just thinking I would take one daily. I think they may be for after the missed period.
Good luck!

There are lots of tests that claim to be accurate up to 6 days before a missed period. I'm not sure how accurate the Dollar tree tests are, you would have to check the package insert. I would wait until a few days after your period, if it is in fact late, and test again. I think it is just too early to tell right now.
On a side note, I had a very similar thing happen to me a few months ago, I was sure I was pregnant, period was 7 days late, had lots of symptoms, but i turned out not to be. I felt like I was totally crazy, and the next month, when my period was late again, I thought something was seriously wrong with me. I finally took a hpt 10 days after my period should have started the second month and I was pregnant. I'm due in March. So, if you are, congrats, and if you aren't do be too discouraged, try again next cycle.

A pregnancy test measures your HcG level... HcG being the pregnancy hormone. The more pregnant you are, the more HcG you have, and therefore, the pregnancy test is more accurate.

I wouldn't discount that you aren't pregnant, because it's still early.

I would wait a week and retest (I know it's hard being that you're TTC:-))

Also, in early pregnancy, even a positive may be VERY faint, so a retest a few days later may be necessary to confirm.

Also, use only morning urine, as HcG levels are highest then.

Best wishes!!

I got my first positive at 12 DPO, but I had seen implantation spotting the day before. Implantation spotting is unusual and is easy to miss. Mine was just one little red spot on the tissue after I urinated. I saw it, threw the tissue on the toilet, and then realized what it was.

Hi, we used an OPK so I knew when I ovulated and the day we TTC. Then I went and bought a bunch of Dollar Store pregnancy tests (they test the same or lower levels of hcg than the more expensive tests) and started taking a test every day about 3 days later. I was doing a scientific experiment .... or I was just really excited to find out :-) Anyhow, I got a faint pink line on day 12. This is my 3rd baby, so not sure if that would make it show up any quicker or not, but I did have some feelings of being pregnant before then, and this was our first month of trying. Good luck!

I tried the dollar tree tests but they said negative although I knew I had to be pregnant. So I bought an ept test and sure enough it was positive. I think it's a case of you get what you pay for....

With my current pregnancy, I had just started trying to conceive & also had early pregnancy symptoms. I was 13 days past ovulation when I took an E.P.T. home test & got a positive. I probably wouldn't have tested then, but I was also charting my body temps upon waking & had a second jump in temps after ovulation, which is an indication of pregnancy.
Of course prior to actually trying to get pregnant, I had had symptoms of pregnancy & it turned out that I wasn't.
I had bought this book & read it prior to trying to get pregnant with my second & it was great!

This is such a fun time. Go ahead and get a few tests. But always always always buy generic. They are cheaper and just as accurate. Also, if you get the test right now, don't take it until morning. At 9 DPO having concentrated pee will help. I tested positive at 10 days.

Oh...The odds of an average, healthy woman getting pregnant the first time? Pretty good....As long as you are truly average and healthy and knowledgeable about your fertile days. Close to 25% I would guess since they say the average it takes is 4 months.

it takes 2 weeks after the time on conception before a pregnancy test will show positive. My last pregancy I took 3 pregnancy tests. The first 2 showed neg and it wasn't until I was almost 2 weeks late for my period that I got the positive pregnancy test but I was feeling signs of pregnancy before the test showed positive

Wait until at least 11 days past ovulation and use the clear blue easy dgtital. The dollar tree brand did not work for me. The clear blue easy spelled out pregnant right away. good luck

You may or may not get a postitive pregnancy test at this point. 9 DPO is still very early. However, some people can test positive that early. The dollar tree tests are very sensitive. I tested postive with one of those at 10 DPO. Also, the symptoms you are describing you are probably only experiencing because you want to be pregnant so bad.
