Costco Diapers

I have been using the Target branded diapers for my 3 young ones and they have worked fine until now. My 2 yr old started to leak thru during the night and now my twin one yr olds are doing it. I started buying Pampers for just the night time (since I have 3 in diapers and pampers cost twice the amount as the Target diapers I only use the Pampers for night time, I spend so much on diapers as it is) and it's a little annoying having to worry about which diaper I am putting on them for night time. (I did try going up a size but my 2.5 yr old is already in size 6 so can't go any higher and pull ups are definatly more expensive, I moved the girls up to a size 5 but 6's are just too big yet)
We just got a Costco card and was wondering about their diapers. Anyone have any good results with Costco diapers as far as leakage? I don't want to buy 2 large boxes of them if they aren't going to be any better than the Target diapers in the end (my husband is a Target employee so we get 10% off so can get the Target diapers fairly cheap) But am willing to try the Costco diapers if they will work better for leaking during the night and won't have to worry about switching between brands for night time.
We've never had a problem with rashes with the Target brand just this new leaking problem and as one person pointed out it IS really annoying that the Tgt brand all looks the same and I have trouble figuring out which size they are; that's why I kind of like the Pampers as they look different but they just seem to cost sooo much. Are the Costco ones different looking and how do they compare in cost to Target diapers?
Thanks K. H

Have you tried buying a bigger size in the target brand for night time? My little one normally wears a size 4 but for bed I put him in a 5. It was a trick I tried when I had my first and it has always seemed to work (until they reach size 6...)

I had 3 main problems with diapers and my 3 kids. First was rashes my daughter had horrible rashes that were like flesh eating bacteria just from pee. Second was explosions, my kids would poop all up their backs and pee out the legs and the bottom of the shirt and top of their pants would be wet in the morning. Third was price. I am a single mother of 3 and full time student so I only work part time. Anyways to the point. Wal mart has a brand called white cloud. They are very cheap. and work wonders. I was recently at target and bought the target brand since I didn't want to run to wal mart and needed diapers asap. And my daughter has leaked through just about every one with a single pee.. and she just turned 1 2 weeks ago. So I would definitely say try the white cloud. They are a bit tough to determine sizes but I noticed they have the size on the top right and also there is light green writing on the bigger sizes and not on the smaller ones, all over the white part of the diaper. Good Luck and I know your struggle.

I've never actually used the costco diapers but from checking the price I think target diapers are cheapers.

i do not know about the costco diapers but we used to use pampers then my son started leaking thru them and we switched to luvs (much cheaper) and he stoped leaking thru we also used the rubber/plastic training covers and those helped me feel better and those are reusable and cheaper than pricey diapers and overnight diapers. I am currently 7months preg and have started stocking up on Luvs diapers for the new one.

We were initially buying Pumpers and were very cautious about Costco dipers for the same reason - don't want to buy large box of something we might not like in the end. But after trying Costco dipers we liked them much better than Pumpers and we switched to the Costco dipers completely. Also, we switched to the Costco wipes as well as we found they are so much better than Pumpers or Huggies wipes, and are much better on the skin on our baby.
I would highly recommend the Kirkland brand, I think what they do is have a special contract with one of the good manufacturers and then put the Kirkland brand label on it. But the result is high quality for a reasonable price.

I absolutely LOVE Costco diapers - and I've tried every brand I can think of. All of my playgroup has switched to Costco as well.

We LOVE the Costco/Kirkland Brand diapers. They are more absorbent than Target brand and fit my kids better, too. I dislike how the Target ones all look alike and don't have the size on them. When you have 2 kids in diapers, it gets a little confusing in the diaper bag when you can't see the size!

We use the Costco diapers and really like them. With my oldest we used the Target ones and I thought they were fine. Then we switched to the Costco. Recently, I went to Target to get some when we ran out of the Costco ones. The Target ones were really far worse than I remembered them being. I don't know if their quality has gone down over the years or if the Costco ones are that much better. Anyhow, I've had no leaks with the Costco ones.

I LOVE costco diapers! I actually need to go get some more! I just tried Target's again the other day and they are so bad!!! My son had a rash in 5 days and he leaked out this morning, and unfortuatly it wasn't pee. Target brand has gotten really bad! This is why I like Costco...
Cost is great
Soft
Band on waist is really effective
Very absorbant!
Go get some!

my sons both have done that and I have found that if the diaper is even a little small they will 9 out 10 times pee right through it.

Hi K.,
I used Pampers cruiser for a long time and loved them but realized I was paying a ridiculous amount for them. I tried the costco brand and they are great, we've had no problems at all. They are slightly bulkier than the pampers but have had no leaks at all. I believe they recently redesigned them to more compete with brands like pampers. They are definitely worth a try. They also have great baby wipes. I find them far superior to pampers sensitive wipes. They are big and free from scent.

We use Target diapers strictly during the day...I can't say that I love them but they are cheap...don't have a costco card to go there. At night we have been using the Huggies Overnites size 4...LOVE them. Our son has been wearing them for a month and we have had virtually no leaks...maybe a tiny bit but nothing bad to have to change sheets or anything like that. Try the overnites they work great. I agree that I dislike the Target diapers don't have a size on them...we got leftover Target diapers from a friend and I have no idea what size they are. I only know that they are too big.

I use Pampers Cruisers during the day for my son. It has been the only brand that has consistently worked for him. But as he got older he started to leak urine at night. I tried going up a size and that did help most of the time. But someone suggested Huggies Night time and they work GREAT at night.

We did try Kirkland from Costco and had leaking problems, although they seemed like really nice diapers. I took the box back...no problem. Don't be afraid to try them. If Target brand works for your kids, I would think Kirkland would. I had BIG problems with both brands. It's all about your kids and their shape...or something.

Also, I use the wipes from Costco and love them.

Good luck.

Sometimes you just need to go up a size when they are leaking. If you've never had a problem with Target's brand before you could just try going up a size and see if that helps. Or buy those plastic pants you put over cloth diapers and see if that helps with leaking.

K.:

Just a thought... we found that with our first of four children, he routinely seemed soaked in the morning, only to find out that most of the wetness occurred right when he woke up (or was stirring awake). Just like adults, kids go first thing in the morning, too... It might help with the soaking through the diaper - if you can catch him early enough.

Good luck!
