Does anyone have any suggestions for a clever Halloween Trio costume set for myself and my two children.

Do you all like trick or treating if so where do you recommend?

What can I do next?

I don't know how old your kids are but when our first was around 3 I made him a crab costume (Red sweats and a crab shell made with foam and sewn legs, hood with Styrofoam eyes topped it off.) My husband had a full yellow Gorton fisherman's costume and I dressed as a chef. We used a big lobster pot for our treat bag.

I found instruction online to make this great lit up jelly fish costume. It's more like a hat. You can google it. I'd love to have a few of us in that but no one else is willing.

Last year my husband, daughter and I were all vampires. The unique thing about it was that my husband was the baby vampire. We cut a hole in the top of an old baby car seat we had. Then we stuffed a red baby outfit and shoes and strapped that into the car seat. My husband's head went up through the hole in the car seat and was the baby's head. So the carseat rested on his chest. I'm sure he added some padding to it so it would be more comfortable. He had a bib that said "Got blood?" on it. He then wore all black so it looked like the car seat was floating when we walked down the street.

Last year my son and his wife and my granddaughter were the big bad wolf, the grandma and little red ridinghood. It was very cute and mostly clothes you can find easily. My son had to buy the rubber big bad wolf mask tho, he also wore a big flannel night gown, as he was the wolf dressed in grandma's clothing. DIL was the regular grandma, and the baby was red.

2 years ago, my son, hubby and I went as a herd of elephants. My son had a really great store bought costume, and I made ears for hubby and I out of felt and headbands and we wore simple rubber trunks bought at party city and dressed in gray.

I do like the super hero idea suggested below :)

Have fun!

How about Shrek, Fiona and Donkey? Or the three stooges? Or Spongebob, Patrick and Sandy the squirrel! The list could go on and on!
