i am looking for something that will clean the grout between the shower tiles - preferably easy. i have tried clr and many other cleaners but nothing works great. also the caulking between the tub and the tiles has turned a brownish color and i cant get that out either. any advice onr products that work well would be appreciated!

What can I do next?

R.,

This may sound old school, but done right, baking soda and vinegar!!!!! It is a great scrubby, non-toxic to kids and pets. Sorry, this means a little extra elbow grease, but it is better for your family and our environment!

I have not found anything that totally gets it completely gone, but try getting some softscrub (get the creamy stuff with bleach, not the spray bleach) and scrubbing it in real good (use an old toothbrush if a sponge is too big and can't fit in). Use a lot and scrub it around real well, then let it sit on there for a long time (30-60 minutes). This has worked the best for me. You may have to do this several times. The problem is after a while the mildew stains the stuff and it's no longer getting off the gunk, but getting out the stain and set in stuff also. Hope this helps.

Shark Steamer! Got one and I LOVE it! Works for everything and everywherein the house. Just water and a lil' vinegar and I am good to go! Even cleans those pesky mini blinds! I used it on my tile countertops and WOW! Did not know they could come that clean even after using BLEACH this worked better. It was $30 or $40 at Target. Good Luck!

P.S.
Vinegar is a MIRACLE cleaner works for everything! Takes those pesky hard watr stains out without scrubbing, softens water for plants (when plants turn brown from hard water) and even does wonders for my swedish hardwood!

Have you tried the Clorox bleach pen? We also use Kaboom for our tub and shower and it seems to work well.

Hi,
for the grout i use the LOC-Soft Scrub (Amway brand), it is easy and works wonders!
Just dabble it on your moistened cloth and blot the soft scrub all over the grout, let it sit (even if it runs) for 10-15m. then scrub with an old tooth brush or wipe away, sometimes I fallow it with a quick rinse as well.
as for the caulking I'd try and see what LOC can do, but really I'd just pull it up and lay a whole new layer down if it is as bad as you say. That way you can start fresh.
Good luck :)
