I have a 3 month old daughter named Rhiannon, and I can't get her to sleep during the day unless I hold her the whole time. If I lay her down, shw wakes up after 5 minutes. As much as I would love to hold her all day, I just can't! Any advice?

What can I do next?

Don't rule out a visit to your pediatrician--might be reflux. At three months, she's still too young to be "playing" you, so if she's crying even though she's fed, dry, burped, and cuddled, then it may be another problem. Also, rocking baby to sleep THEN putting her down may be the issue; she realized she wasn't being rocked & woke up. Try putting her down when her eyes are very sleepy but not quite asleep.
Finally, she may still have some startle reflex left, though it should be about gone. Try swaddling for that closed-in, cozy warm feeling babies crave.

Hang in there, it does get better. At three months the baby still wants the constant motion and comfort she had in your stomach. Try to recreate it by wearing her in a baby sling. You could also put her in a swing or a bassinet that vibrates or rocks. She is still getting use to her environment.
I hope it helps!
