Breast Augmentation - Olathe,KS

I'm seriously considering getting a breast augmentation, but my only fear is the pain that I may have afterward. I have a zero pain tolerance which is why I have not done it yet! The reasons I want this done is that I have never liked mine the way they are, they are worse now that I have breastfed three kids, and I would like them a little bigger.
I know that you can get either silicone or saline implants, which one do you reccommend? If you have had this done, were you happy with the results?

Jo w - No I did not remove a profile pic after 8kids comment! I never had one on here to begin with, and I think that is why he said I look like the majority of women on here.

What can I do next?

I agree with some of the other moms on here. I wouldn't risk the *chance* something could go terribly wrong. I would love to go up a cup size (I'm a small A), but I am not willing to take the risk. I, too, have 3 small children and have to put them first. Plus, hubby loves me the way I am.

I would love this done too. I think I could deal with the pain knowing it is only temporary. What prevents me from proceeding with the surgery is knowing that they will need to be replaced in about 15 years. I just can't imagine having this surgery at around age 65 and I am quite certain I will be just as vain at age 65+ as I am at age 42:). Why cant they just relocate my cells from my thighs and place it in my breast?:) Good luck though!!

After looking at your profile picture I'd say you look just fine just the way you are. You look at least as good as the majority of ladies do with the profile pictures I've seen. They look remarkably like you. ;~))

No matter how small my wife was I'd not ask her to have an augmentation. And would discourage her from getting one.

Good luck to you and yours.

Well, I havent gotten them, but my bff did and I talked to her the day of and day after. She was SORE but not in major pain. But, she doesnt have kids either. You will need A LOT of help with the kids the first week.
Silicone looks the best and will not shift like saline can and does. Saline makes them feel harder and less natural too.
Find a GOOD doctor and do lots of research, this isnt something you want to find a good "deal" on.
All of my friends that have them, and had a good doctor, are very happy.

Another thing to consider, since you are a mother, if anything goes wrong, most insurance companies will not pay for hospitalization or any aftercare. That bill will be yours. There are lots of risks.
I considered plastic surgery, had my consults and everything, but just couldnt bring myself to do it. Too risky for me.

We bought a deck instead. :)

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Not making this a dig at you but I find it amazing that women will be all over my baby cannot have anesthesia, what if they die, and then think there is no risks to surgery themselves.

Tons of risk, just like any other surgery, pain, like any other surgery and you choose to do it to yourself. I have only had knee surgeries, five of them to be exact, there are tons of potential complications and yes, when they puncture your skin it hurts! a lot! There is a lot of bruising and swelling. I have a very high threshold for pain and the only reason I have knee surgery is I have grown accustomed to walking.

Did you take down your profile pic after 8kids comment? Ahh, crazy guy! :p You do look a bit like the rest. :)

I don't have an opinion one way or another about breast implants themselves - if you want that for yourself who am I to care. But I will say that having any surgery is risky - to your life. For me, it would not be worth the (yes small) risk of having an unnecessary surgery. Imagine leaving your 3 girls motherless for bigger breasts. Also, I just heard a woman I was friends with in another town (she is in her late 30s) had her breast cancer missed b/c the implants got in the way of her mamogram. Now she is fighting for her life with two young ones.

Just consider the risk vs reward - and educate yourself on the true risks. That's all I'm saying. Would you want your daughters to get implants with all the risks? Would you tell them the risks are worth it? If you get the implants that is the message you will send them btw.

They ain't mine, and I don't have any say.....and I'm certainly not arguing with your reason. Doing them to please yourself is the best (if not only) reason out there.

But I guess I'd just suggest have a real heart to heart with the husband. Tell him how close you really are to doing it, and ask his honest opinion (which will not be held against him, ever).

I don't know how many other husbands tell their wives which jeans make them look fat - but my wife and I do. I'd be worried that he might be agreeing with you to keep the peace. No suspicions, mind you - but just wishing you well and humbly suggesting that your husband might be a really nice guy - too nice to give you his honest answer.

I have mine done and absolutely no regrets.. I got them when I was 20 (I'm now 33)... My friends and I got saline at the time, but nowadays silicone is popular again...
I don't have a huge tolerance for pain, and I was in NO pain afterwards.. A little uncomfortable for a couple days, but no biggie...It is so common nowadays! Do it for yourself, no one else :)

PS Saline does NOT make them look harder and unnatural.. You do NOT need to have them replaced.. I'm living proof~ That all depends on whether your going under or over the muscle. It depends on the doctor... Definitely do your research and have a few consultations.. :)

I am with you, however mine are large and droopy after gaining too much weight when prego (toxemia and gest. diabetes) and breastfeeding. They just ain't where they should be anymore. I too will have a breast augmentation surgery, but not for a few years...saving up. I also want a tummy tuck, for the same reasons as above (except for the breast feeding). My tummy never went back to where it was, or the skin didn't, I should say.
One of my dance moms had hers done two years ago and she looks fabulous. She did her research, which I recommend, and found a doctor who did a beautiful job. She said she was not in a lot of pain afterwards, more discomfort than anything. You will be given some pain meds that will help too. Just do your research and get information about the doctor. Check with BBB and make sure he hasn't had any complaints filed or has ever been sued. Research, research, research.
When you've done the research and know who you want to use. Go over with him all the pros and cons of the surgery itself. If you are healthy you should not have any problems with the surgery itself.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to change what you look like, as long as it is for yourself and no one else. Hope this helped some. Good luck and God Bless. (And enjoy your new boobies!)
