Check out Soutern Living At HOME www.southernlivingathome.com/danacarey then click on our products. They have some beautiful wine glasses, wine racks, and a terra cotta wine chiller that is really cool. Or email me and I can send you out a catalog.

Iwish I knew more about her, but I'll give my advice as a wine lover. A picnic basket designed around wine would be a great gift. My ideal basket, room for the wine (of course), 2 wine glasses and a cork remover, plus standard cheese and fruit dinnerware.

If that doesn't sound like her style, you can always get her a decorative wine holder that will hold her single favorite bottle of wine.

Of course, theres always the basket of fruit, cheese and crackers to go with the wine!

Good luck, hope I helped a small bit.

If you have a Cost Plus World Market by you, they have a great selection of goodies to put in a basket. They have delicious chocolates, miniature cheeses meant for such things, crackers and cookies and you can even throw in a candle or two. If you don't have Cost Plus near you, I am sure you can find those items at another store as well. (Cost Plus actually has a basket section that's why I thought of them.)

Hello,

I am a bartender and have worked many wine parties. Many wine lovers have collections of
wine openers and are very picky about their wines. I would give her a gift certificate to a wine tailer so she can make her own wine. Check out a nearby vineyard. They might have some suggestions for you. Where are you from? There is a place near me that will engrave bottles to suit a special occasion. Note, that your friend might get a lot of baskets and might be eating cheese for months. Why not do something chocolate and add a port wine for dessert?
chocolate baskets are easy and you can get many ingredients at Target, near their wine section. Ideas like: chocolate covered malt balls, choc. graham crackers, nuts with nut cracker and maybe chocolate covered carmels and a bag of gourmet coffee to go with?

Or... take her to a wine tasting to someplace she has not been before. (Spending time with her would be a great gift!)

Best of all.. add your favorites and make it personal.

If you can afford to do this...hire a gorgious local serenader. My friend had a party and out of the blue, a handsome guy came in with a guitar and said, you are so special that you have been gifted by your friend ____ to be serenaded with these 2 songs...then he sang happy birthday and a special song. I thought that was such a classy gift and she was tickled pink!!!!

Hi J.,
I actually just had a wine tasting themed bridal shower for my sister, and the party favors that I had made had a bottle of wine, and matching home made chocolates (I personally prefer chocolate over cheese lol), an opener, a stopper, wine coasters, a wine glass and matching charm. You can always add a book about wines, ie how to pick a great bottle, what wines go with what, or give her a bottle of wine from a vineyard close to you with a gift certifate for that vineyard to do a wine tasting. You could also get a set of wine glasses for her and have them etched. Or give her the bottle of wine, paired with a great book, and a foot messager or bath salts and aroma therapy candles so she can have a nice relaxing time at home =) Hope these help =)
Take care,
H.
