HI
I was in the same situation. I was pregant with twin girls and I was also in the hospital when my shower was scheduled. I had a welcome home baby shower. It was fun but necessary because of the bedrest. It was still fun and everyone got to see the babies. Good luck

Hi. Have the shower AFTER the babies are born. You can enjoy it more that way ;)

I am not sure if you are planning to breastfeed since having twins makes it a different situation then when I had my son. But even just with one I was so tired and so topless (except for a nursing bra, it was totally incovenient to wear clothes) for like a month--I suggest that you have a shower before delivery--wether you wait until 30 weeks or just have it earlier than that. Being prepared early is so much better than trying to get important stuff from the store after your girls come home.
Congratulations and best of luck!!

Hi C.:
I am a mom of 3 (14, 13 and 2), and when I was pregnant with my 3rd, my daughter and 2 friends planned a shower for me. I had been late and on time with my previous births, so when they planned it 2 months before the baby was due, I didn't think it was a problem. Best laid plans... my water broke at 30 wks and I was in the hospital for the 2 wks before the baby was born. The baby was in the NICU for over a month, and so the shower didn't happen as scheduled. It was rescheduled for when she got home, and it was a great way for everyone close to me to get to meet her at once! Planning for the the unexpected is always hard.
Enjoy.

Hi C.,

Hmm I think with your situation you should ait until after the babies are delivered to have the shower.. thats if someone is not already suprising you with one! Your still in the hosp and you really dont know when you will be released so it may be a little tricky to plan anything right now until you are sure that you will be released. Also if you are released there could be the possibiliy that for some reason you have to go back early. I think to save all headaches, do it after the birth. It can be an even bigger party with them there! Good Luck and let us know what you decide!

Congrats on the the twins, sorry about the bedrest. I would wait until a couple of weeks after they come home safely. You will be tired but it will be great to get everyone together and you'll get lots of help with everyone there!

Good luck!
