Hi

I'm going away with my baby to warm weather and looking for recommendations for a tent that blocks out the sun for my 9 month old.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

We live 3 blocks from the beach in Jersey and use a pop up from One Step Ahead. Get the big one. We have had two over 14 yrs. They are really roomy, lots of friends fit and it's good for the whole family in a quick rain shower.

Have fun!

one step ahead has a great lil tent that folds into a backpack...light weight and easy to use, they also have a larger one w/o a floor....I think I may upgrade so my toddler can play in the sand under the tent and I can lay down a blanket for naptimes....have fun...we love the beach too!!!

Sorry no recomendations but just a story! My friend took her little one to a beach about the same age. He was in the shade under a umbrella and still burned (thankfully not too bad) With whatever you buy don't forget the reflection factor. Anything shiny from water to other umbrellas can reflect UV rays and cause a tan or worse burn! A.

Hi R.-
the Graco Pack N Play Sport Playpen is great, but I think it may have been discontinued. Even so you can get it on eBay and some other places too. It's basically just like a regular pack and play, only it's a lot lighter and more sturdy, with a tent like dome that blocks the sun and I think is UV protected. It's really really cool.

Hi R., i have the sun tent from one step ahead. I love it, it's easy to put up and it stays in place. It has steaks and pockets to fill with sand. One side is open, the other has a zipper so you can choose to have it open or not. It's a bit pricey, I got mine used on E Bay. Good Luck, S.

Hi R.,
There are some really nice ones on the following Web site: www.onestepahead.com
I've ordered lots of stuff from them, and was pleased with everything (especially an item called the "snack trap"--what a great gadget!) But, I saw that they had some nice stuff for the beach too--sun tents, etc. Worth taking a look! Their prices are fair, and the products seem to stand the test of time at this house! lol
Have fun at the beach!

I just purchased a tent from One Step Ahead. They have a couple of different options. The one I purchased has enough room for two adults and a baby, but they offer a smaller option for just the baby.
