I have my nieces tomorrow and want to do something different than normal with them. Must not cost alot. I am hoping for it to be outside but would LOVE to hear all suggestions since I get them all the time. We sit home alot because I am a wimp of the heat and cold. LOL Not that they mind either. Hope we get some good suggestions at this late date! Have a safe weekend everyone!

What can I do next?

Go to Linden Hills in Minneapolis. Browse at Creative Kidstuff and Wonderment, which both have toys. Visit the Wild Rumpus, which has awesome kids' books -- and animals roaming the aisles. Have some ice cream at Sebastian Joe's, and then wander over to the lake to ride on the streetcar. My niece and I did that outing once and it was great.

We enjoy the Como Zoo/Conservatory. No charge (they do ask that if you're able you make a $2/person donation)...

If you have a yard, set up the sprinkler, or even the hose. Make sure you have them bring their swim suits. I used to put a cooler full of water and pretend we had a pool.

Buy bubbles at the grocery store or JoAnn fab and crafts.

nail polish their nails after a soap soak and nail trim.

go to the Humane Society and hold kittens.

neighborhood school or park with play equipment

treat of the day is a $1 cone at McDonalds. I get them in a cup with the cone on top so they can lick a little in the cone, but eat the rest with a spoon

COMO PARK - one of the 5 free zoos in the nation!!!! Bring a cooler with pop or water for afterwards or a picnic

St Louis Park Splash pad is free and has great playgrounds and water play area for kids. It's on Rhode Island and 32nd off of Minnetonka blvd. Kids love it!
